Thanks! I use a Sony handycam, I'm not sure exactly what model but it does full HD and records it to a 60 gig hard drive. I'm happy with it but I've ruined a few shots because the mic is very sensative and it pics up small things like nose whistling or loud breathing. Ha!
Thanks guys! I hope nobody watches this video and then thinks they might rely on this technique in a survival situation because it was hard to do and it took a long time.
It was definately a good reminder to me of why I always carry some good fire starting kit.

You got it! I live in northern B.C. on the coast but I grew up in the central interior. Adapting to the rainforest has been a good challenge!
