Man I know we are halfway through the series right now but I remember watching this for the first time and completely freaking out I still get excited every time I watch this
Forget trying to figure out the so-called mysteries! When are people going to figure out there is no mystery! Moffat sucks! The second half of series 6 will be taking place before the events of the first half. So now Moffat is resorting to childish gimmicks. And River will be the wife. And she was the one inside the suit! Moffat doesn't really write mysteries. He just writes ultra-cliched ultra-predictable stories and then tries to pretend that there's this great big mystery.
River is not the dr's wife. too obvious. she could be amys child. jenny might be back. shes a time lord/lady. her children would be able to regenerate. and if its the drs grandchild who has been kidnapped. watch out. that would bring down his ire on all of those aliens. they wouldn't know what hit them. name is said to be melody pond. changes it to hide her identity from the dr and amy. Who knows? Anythings possible. We, in the U.S find out the second sat in june.
@2012smartypants BAD NEWS! Steve Moffat is KING of the obvious! Of course the fat ugly whore is his wife. Otherwise moffat couldn't turn this once great show into a full-blown soap opera. And of course River is the one inside the spacesuit! Again, anything else would be a surprise and Moffat is having none of that. Oh but he is doing one thing: Life, Doctor Who & Combom: BBC One Controller Says No Full Series of Doctor Who for 2012; Series 7 D. Yeah, NO DOCTOR WHO NEXT YEAR! Good job moffat
@sallyjosie According to a recent news report there will be part of Series 7 shown next year but they are going to split it again. Half in 2012 and the other half in 2013 in order to lead up to the 50th anniversary :D
@VERITASERUMUK Yeah, I heard that too. Still, that means this lame storyline will be dragged out for almost 4 yrs. Enough is enough! River was a bad idea from the start. Now its a space opera. Its suppose to be an action adventure show. The occasional romance is fine but not a wife. Especially one that makes one to punch in the face everytime she shows up.
@45corleone there is one called "the doctors wife" with the clues in that episode i'm thinking that river is his real wife but yeah, amy is like his wife
Oh come on, it's not that hard to understand. What you thought they were going to reveal all the answers in the very first episodes of a 13 episode series?
British Broadcasting for America. Yeah, doesn't work at all, maybe if they put for or in. Because it couldn't possibly be that they are broadcasting British television in America.
@NemesisSP wow! omg! theres nthn wrong wiv that! i was saying that the name doesn't make sense thats all don't worry im partly american im not gonna hate on anyone or anything!
I just told you that it's called BBC America because they are showing British Broadcasting in America. I wasn't implying you were hating on anyone or what country you lived in.
@BeautyFreakist i love doctor who and and I'm american i know its a british show. i wish i could go to Europe :P but i can't and i wanted to see what the shows look like and Doctor who is one of my fav shows ever. not because it's british, its how good it is :)
@BeautyFreakist There's been a relatively large fan base in the US since the show first came out. The term "Whovian" was actually the title of a Doctor Who themed magazine in the US. BBC America just started airing the show last season, but before that it aired on PBS, or the Public Broadcasting Station.
@SimonTalksWHO We definitely appreciate the English aspect of Doctor Who.. I think most American fans prolly respect English people the same or more than Americans.. We have alot in common my friend :)

@pacharisu123 yeah... don't take this as an attack on you... but since people keep putting me in replies about who makes a noise I'm just gonna throw this out there in general:
I don't care. This commercial is awesome and I can't wait till the premiere. That is all.
@MegaAstroFan18 Don't know if this is supposed to be Paris, Texas or not - but in reality, they did film it in Utah. I should know - that's where I live! All the Doctor Who fans here went nuts because it was the show's first time filming in the states, and they chose Utah! :-D
"The crew of the Minyans' ship the P7E, however, had had about a thousand regenerations, by which time, however, they wearied of life." - wikiwho on regenerations. possible but not normal

@SavageInsight Paris, Texas doesn't look like that. In fact, the only part of Texas that looks remotely like that is El Paso, and that's practically in Mexico. Paris, Texas is just tall green trees and farmland. I'm a massive who fan from south of Paris, Texas. And we don't talk like rednecks, but the way. c:
Season 6 Arc: The Doctor tries desperately to get to the real Paris, France, but keeps ending up in other increasingly unlikely places with the same name instead. Paris, Texas. Paris, an exclusive resort on the seventh moon of Ashtar. Paris, in an alien province that just so happens to be called France on Raxacoricofallapatorius.
@WhereDidMyCheeseGo I know, right? Why do people act like New York is all there is to the US? Personally I can't STAND New York--give me Portland (OR) or 'Cisco ANY day!
@HotShotRuksy Last Year BBC America showed it 2 weeks after it premiered in the UK. They acutally show episodes of Doctor Who here everyday in the early evening.
@HotShotRuksy BBC America acutally showed each part of "The End of Time" just a day after it premiered in the UK . They even showed "A Christmas Carol" the same day it premiered in the UK.
@1992bwalker Really? Now, I have no first-hand info but according to other posters they did actually film one episode in Utah. If it turns out they didn't well, blame the one who said they did. lol Frankly I'm not looking forward to it because everytime these British writers make the Americans look stupid. Of course Some American writers make Brits look stuck-up and full of themselves. I for one, would like to see writers on both sides of the Atlantic treat one another with respect!
@sallyjosie Sorry they have filmed in America my mistake . And i agree with you that writers on both side of the Atlantic need to do their research on each other Americans need to stop portraying us Brits as tea and crumpet eating snobs and we need to stop portraying Americans as fat idiots.
@1992bwalker Have you seen the latest video clip of dr who series 6? It's only about 26 seconds long. it shows Amy swinging on a rope on a pirate ship. And not much else. It's Doctor or the Caribbean. Actually I have no idea where they filmed this episode. I have a feeling this where the Space pirate comes in. I wonder if this pirate captian is the same on from the 'Pirate Planet' episode from the classic series. I doubt it because most everyone insists that moffat has promised no classic
@sallyjosie villians. Then again, he does like to misdirect. if it's the same captian then it would have to take place before the Doctor and Romana meet him in 'The Pirate Planet'. The captain dies at the end of the story. If hey want this to be truly authentic they should get Johnny Depp to guest star. lol Or at least Orlando Bloom. After all, he's not going to be in the 4th installment and neither is Kiera Knightly.
@sallyjosie LOL! It would be even better with Mr Fibuli. I laughed so hard everytime he came on screen. It's hard to believe he is the same actor who returned the next season as a villian. I have noted a lack of origianality in much of Mr Moffats writing. The stuff with the whale in the beast below looked like it came straight out of finding nemo and now he is copying Pirates of the Caribbean? He needs to find more original material.
@Dubzoomember Yes, but like I said, the doctor and Amy could be meeting him before the accident that causes him to have some of his limbs replaced with robotic limbs. Who knows. Maybe it will turn out that the Doctor was responsible for the accident in the first place. Whibly wably.
@Dubzoomember The Pirate Captain wasn't anywhere near as popular as the Daleks or Cybermen but he was a great over-the-top villian who was actually smarter then he seemed. Everyone was suppose to assume he was just a blow-hard but he had actually worked out a risky plot to escape from the clutches of the Evil queen who was creating a new bodies from holograms. I think. I never fully understood it. Only some were just an image and hers had some essence of a human body.
@sallyjosie Yes, I've seen The Pirate Planet. I got The Key to Time for Christmas and am veeeery slowly working through it. I just can't see him coming back. What would be awesome is a pure historical with no aliens or anything. We haven't had one since 1981!
@Dubzoomember are you talking about 'The Black Orchid'? That's the only one I can think of. I miss some aspects of the old who. Some stories were too long but I like the fact that the Doctor had to really work hard to solve a problem. In fact sometimes he would discover that he had underestimated someone and he would make things worse before he would make them better. I loved that aspect of Doctor Who. Now it's either all neatly wrapped up in an hour. and I haven't seen one good 2-parter since
@sallyjosie 'Journey's End'. That was the last good 2-parter I've seen. The others were so stupid and so boring. And sorry but most of the Over The Top rubbish on here sounds like it's coming straight out of the mouths of BBC employees or their family and friends on both sides of the Atlantic.
@1992bwalker You're really too kind. In fact, far too many Americans actually are fat idiots. I won't go into the reasons, but trust me. I love this country, but it's a bit embarrassing.
Why did they have to go to America? I mean, yes, I was excited...but now it seems a bit lame. They're probably going to end up just doing the normal thing and making all American's look stupid and violent.
But I like the hat. He should wear a stetson. It's way sexier than a fez. :D

They have gone to American to say/promote that Doctor Who will be airing on BBC America. Just FYI for those who down understand.
Lozzzange 1 year ago
@Lozzzange no episodes have actually been filmed in america
1992bwalker 1 year ago
@1992bwalker I'm aware. Keys words in my statement being "AIRING ON". BBC America: the channel. Silly
Lozzzange 1 year ago
@Lozzzange yes but you made it sound as if they had only gone to america to promote the airing of the series not that they had filmed episodes there.
1992bwalker 1 year ago
@1992bwalker Really? Now, I have no first-hand info but according to other posters they did actually film one episode in Utah. If it turns out they didn't well, blame the one who said they did. lol Frankly I'm not looking forward to it because everytime these British writers make the Americans look stupid. Of course Some American writers make Brits look stuck-up and full of themselves. I for one, would like to see writers on both sides of the Atlantic treat one another with respect!
sallyjosie 1 year ago
@sallyjosie Sorry they have filmed in America my mistake . And i agree with you that writers on both side of the Atlantic need to do their research on each other Americans need to stop portraying us Brits as tea and crumpet eating snobs and we need to stop portraying Americans as fat idiots.
1992bwalker 1 year ago
@1992bwalker Have you seen the latest video clip of dr who series 6? It's only about 26 seconds long. it shows Amy swinging on a rope on a pirate ship. And not much else. It's Doctor or the Caribbean. Actually I have no idea where they filmed this episode. I have a feeling this where the Space pirate comes in. I wonder if this pirate captian is the same on from the 'Pirate Planet' episode from the classic series. I doubt it because most everyone insists that moffat has promised no classic
sallyjosie 1 year ago
@sallyjosie villians. Then again, he does like to misdirect. if it's the same captian then it would have to take place before the Doctor and Romana meet him in 'The Pirate Planet'. The captain dies at the end of the story. If hey want this to be truly authentic they should get Johnny Depp to guest star. lol Or at least Orlando Bloom. After all, he's not going to be in the 4th installment and neither is Kiera Knightly.
sallyjosie 1 year ago
@sallyjosie LOL! It would be even better with Mr Fibuli. I laughed so hard everytime he came on screen. It's hard to believe he is the same actor who returned the next season as a villian. I have noted a lack of origianality in much of Mr Moffats writing. The stuff with the whale in the beast below looked like it came straight out of finding nemo and now he is copying Pirates of the Caribbean? He needs to find more original material.
2012smartypants 1 year ago
@2012smartypants Moffat isn't writing the Pirate episode, someone else is and who said it was going to be the same as POTC anyway?
Dubzoomember 1 year ago
@sallyjosie PLus, The Pirate Captain is dead so...
Dubzoomember 1 year ago
@Dubzoomember Yes, but like I said, the doctor and Amy could be meeting him before the accident that causes him to have some of his limbs replaced with robotic limbs. Who knows. Maybe it will turn out that the Doctor was responsible for the accident in the first place. Whibly wably.
sallyjosie 1 year ago
@sallyjosie
Would be cool. But bringing back a non-famous character from 1978? Well, they did bring back the Macra and ALMOST Meglos.
Dubzoomember 1 year ago
@Dubzoomember The Pirate Captain wasn't anywhere near as popular as the Daleks or Cybermen but he was a great over-the-top villian who was actually smarter then he seemed. Everyone was suppose to assume he was just a blow-hard but he had actually worked out a risky plot to escape from the clutches of the Evil queen who was creating a new bodies from holograms. I think. I never fully understood it. Only some were just an image and hers had some essence of a human body.
sallyjosie 1 year ago 2
@sallyjosie Yes, I've seen The Pirate Planet. I got The Key to Time for Christmas and am veeeery slowly working through it. I just can't see him coming back. What would be awesome is a pure historical with no aliens or anything. We haven't had one since 1981!
Dubzoomember 1 year ago
@Dubzoomember are you talking about 'The Black Orchid'? That's the only one I can think of. I miss some aspects of the old who. Some stories were too long but I like the fact that the Doctor had to really work hard to solve a problem. In fact sometimes he would discover that he had underestimated someone and he would make things worse before he would make them better. I loved that aspect of Doctor Who. Now it's either all neatly wrapped up in an hour. and I haven't seen one good 2-parter since
sallyjosie 1 year ago
@sallyjosie 'Journey's End'. That was the last good 2-parter I've seen. The others were so stupid and so boring. And sorry but most of the Over The Top rubbish on here sounds like it's coming straight out of the mouths of BBC employees or their family and friends on both sides of the Atlantic.
sallyjosie 1 year ago
@1992bwalker You're really too kind. In fact, far too many Americans actually are fat idiots. I won't go into the reasons, but trust me. I love this country, but it's a bit embarrassing.

don't they both look so pretty :)
kiaralouisee 1 year ago
Why did they have to go to America? I mean, yes, I was excited...but now it seems a bit lame. They're probably going to end up just doing the normal thing and making all American's look stupid and violent.
But I like the hat. He should wear a stetson. It's way sexier than a fez. :D
