I remember watching this race on my ex girlfriends coutch...remembering thinking it would probably be the last oval CC race I ever saw. Nelson Philippe and Legge stand out in my memory as being suprisingly fast.
I don't care which series you supported. That's an insult to every IndyCar driver past and present. If today's IndyCar is a joke, then I'd like to see you try racing at over 200 MPH.
Once again, somebody can't read english. Nowhere in my post did I say FTG owned Milwaukee. But thanks to him splitting open wheel racing, we're left with what we've got now.
But I guess you like an all-american, all-oval (oops, they're racing on a street course in Brazil this weekend)series,
Both IndyCar and NASCAR are no longer racing at The Milwaukee Mile b/c the the promoter failed to pay their sanctioning fees. What does that have to do with the split?
I was a fan of CART, and I'm glad we have a reunified IndyCar with most of the best teams and drivers racing on an even mix of ovals and road/street courses.
The final ChampCar World Series race held at The Miwaukee Mile... :(

Ugh. I know the IRL isn't as good as CART was, but I still wish they would race here again.

"Since 1903, , ," but thanks primarily to the efforts of one idiot that inherited a racetrack, it is no more. :(
Thanks for posting!

Yeah, right.
