@lynnegordon The "oxygen therapy" is helping b/c you won't exercise or do anything to change your routine to include safe exercise routines, balanced meals incl switching to vegetarian diet (cooked, not that raw BS fad diet that'll kill you). The oxygen helps b/c your own body is probably too heavy to allow your own oxygen supply created by your body to do its job. Stopping the meds for Lupus leads to vital organ damage so your lungs are probably damaged by your own doing, not a doc or drug(s)!

@miragemammaries well i havent officially been diagnosed with Lupus but ive had ulcerative colitis since 2007 and ive had this rash on my face and sometimes scalp since 2004/2005ish. Selsun Blue helped me for a long time then i got too used to it. I have tried antifungal creams and pills which helped for a while too but then they stopped working as well. the only thing that is working now is the steroids. currently taking clobetasol propionate but i have changed my diet alot too though
@unleasheth I'm happy to hear that you don't have Lupus. I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus in 2004. I have been taking Plaquenil for the better part of 7 years now. You need to understand that Lupus can be fatal, as it nearly was in my case, and drugs like plaquenil, and prednisone saved my life. I'm not knocking how other people choose to treat themselves, but you have to understand that sometimes drugs are lifesavers.
@miragemammaries my ulcerative colitis went from bad in 2007/08/09 to good in 2010 and 2011. what i did differently was load up on probiotics, take raw honey everyday, and take garlic and ginger pill combos to kill yeast and fungus everyday. i also dont drink cows milk anymore. goats milk or kefir and rice milk are ok. i cant drink alcohol and cant do tobacco still, but im alot better now than where i was a few years ago. so this is how i know natural remedies do work. its what we are eating
@unleasheth Anyway, I agree that proper diet, and avoiding certain foods is essential to disease management. Sorry to hear you are dealing with U.C., that sucks. I'm glad that the natural route works for you. As for me, I'm off the prednisone, and I'm taking a daily maintenance dose of Plaquenil as insurance against another Lupus flare. I tolerate the drug quite well, although some people have serious problems with it. ANyway, I hope you get to feeling better, UC is no fun.
@miragemammaries I agree completely M. As I was saying above, in my case it's a win-lose scenario. If I stop taking the Plaquenil, I may keep the light perception longer or I may not. There's no rhyme nor reason to the disease; hwr, if I stop taking, Lupus will begin to destroy my vital organs eventually and sooner or later they will fail & I will die but as the eye specialist said: "The eye disease is not fatal yet Lupus is." I can live w/no sight but I can't live w/o working vital organs.

@miragemammaries and drinking that is killing us. wife and i started using the Jack Lalane Juicer as well the last few months and its helped. it gets expensive making the juices all the time so we generally do it twice a month or so. we will make up 2 big batches of juice and put them in the refrigerator. anyhow, hope this all helps. Afterward, there are no side effects other than you feel better & it slows the progression of Lupus getting to your vital organs faster thus killing you faster so that's a lie. @unleasheth Yeah, Plaquenil in doses above 400mg a day can cause retinal damage, and possibly lead to blindness. I've never been on more than 400mg a day, and now I'm taking only 200mg per day. I've been seeing an opthamologist since I was first diagnosed, to monitor for retinal damage, and fortunately for me, I've never had any problems. Plaquenil is definitely not for everyone, but it has been a lifesaver for me, and has given me back my ability to live and enjoy life again.
@miragemammaries As it has for the other 1.5 million+/- people with Lupus as well. :) And, of course those are only the people that we know who have the disease. There's still so many more who are under-diagnosed, mis-diagnosed like LEAD BY A LEASH here, but there's another 5million around the world outside the USA who are living better lives b/c of the Plaquenil. In my case, it's a win-lose scenario b/c I happened to be born w/a degenerative retinal eye disease b4 I even knew I had Lupus (SLE)
@unleasheth Stopping Plaquenil is not an option for me, but, I tolerate the drug well, and have not had any adverse effects from it in the many years I've been on it. You need to understand that alternative medicine isn't always an option for everyone. As I said before, I'm not knocking your treatment strategy, and I'm glad you are able to keep your UC under control in a way that works best for you.
@miragemammaries yea thats cool i can respect/understand that for some people. i always opt for a natural way first, then if i dont see results id try orthodox meds. i have a few older friends that MUST go the Rx route (one with hepatitis for instance) and i can understand that. but he does mix in organic and or homeopathics as well to his regimen for extra relief. sure as hell cant hurt. however some people on here with argue with me till the fuckin sun goes down that natural remedies dont work

@unleasheth It sounds as if you weren't taking the Plaquenil b/c you'd bought into this crap & when you did start taking it, you got the side effects that go away within 1-2 weeks b/c if you'd taken the meds as directed, you wouldn't have felt sick. You're doctor can prescribe anti-emetics (stops nausea & vomiting) until your over the initial side effects then the only time you get sick is when you don't rest, eat right, etc, you go into a flare.

Also, im thinking of getting a nutritionist to go along with my regimen. doctors dont know shit anymore all they want is to get you in and out of the office and make that $. If you take any hormone replacement therapy w/progesterine or estrogen then you are setting yourself up for cancer in the breast or the prostate to grow faster & make it more difficult to treat b/c estrogen & progesterine causes cancer to spread faster & grow larger. I recently had 2 cysts removed from my rgt breast & I have another we're checking on & 4 others in the lft breast to remove. HRTs & 1 cancer cell & I'm fighting breast cancer too.

So I guess that answers your question... as of this moment, there is no hard PROOF that vaccines are the CAUSE of autism. Routine blood tests and baseline EKG scans give a baseline to compare to in order to catch signs/symptoms as early as possible in case of the onset of cancer, hyper/hypo-thyroidism, diabetes (type I & II), & many others. People w/half a brain want early detection, esp of cancer incl prostate b/c early detection means early treatment & chance to stop it b4 it spreads to the point where treatment isn't possible.
@unleasheth Yearly well-child checkups can pick up juvenile diabetes b4 child goes into a coma. DH was tested yearly & discovered to have juvenile diabetes @ 3-4yrs old. Years later w/annual eye exams caught diabetic retinopathy early, laser surgery saved his sight. Any real parent wants to know these things to prevent early death, kidney damage, loss of sight, etc... DH's annual eye exams caught diabetic retinopathy early enough to do laser surgery & prevent blindness. It's good thing, not bad!

They are cancer free today and have been for a number of years with the last one being cancer free for 6 years and no signs of cancer having returned so you're all wrong and again, spreading lies! BTW, 1 of those cancer survivors was an 80yo woman who beat cancer w/o the need of a mastectomy. Removal of cysts & chemo did it & she's cancer-free
The best we as lupus sufferers can do is to stay as healthy as we can by staying out of crowds in cold & flu season, seeking regular treatment w/doctors, if considering herbal meds - TELL YOUR DOCTOR! M doc knows what herbs I use & is ok w/it as long as it's not contra-indicated or counterproductive w/my care. Most docs are open to alt. therapy as long as they aren't left out of the loop. If you want to seek herbal medicine therapy, find a doctorate in herbal meds, not some YTuber seeking hits!

@brokenwingb4 There are more autoimmune diseases out there than RA, 4 types of lupus, Sjgoren's, etc... In fact, there is Celiac, Lichen Plantus, etc... If the autoimmune disease has reached your vital organs, I'm sad to say there is little you can do. Hwr, I do recommend finding a highly reccommended rheumatologist & neurologist to find how progressed the disease has become. There's always a chance of a med/s that will slow the progress tho' it won't be easy. Early diagnosis &treatment is key.
@brokenwingb4 BTW, I have that same rash on my head as well. It's on the back of the head mostly but it does reach temples sometimes. There's a Rx shampoo that helps clear it up. I've gone months without it & had it come back for months. Its all part of the disease process. The important thing is reducing your risk of infection. Infection & organ failure are our #1 problems. It's why it's important to get a diagnosis/es early, treatment early, & follow a specific regimen to stay healthy/alive!

One version of lupus is called "drug-induced lupus." If you've supposedly "cured yourself" of lupus then you probably had drug-induced lupus & your doctors just took you off the drug that was causing the symptoms yet not the true disease. The rest of us live in the real world with real lupus that hurts & screws up our days, makes nights difficult, can't plan, can't do much spur of the moment things & we rely on meds to live & control pain & other side effects of THE REAL LUPUS!

Watch the clip titled Lupus Research Institute. They are very clear about the fact that the treatment is almost as bad or actually worse than the condition itself. The drugs are extremely poisonous.
I wish that people would understand that too, they're just a mask. I eat very healthy now and avoid all intolerances and allergies, exercise, and I feel a LOT better. You won't always feel 100%, but the natural way is a lot better than steroids. IMO Some people need steroids at a certain point, if they're on the verge of dying I guess, but I think there are healthier ways that most people/drs are not seeing yet.

@lynnegordon The "oxygen therapy" is helping b/c you won't exercise or do anything to change your routine to include safe exercise routines, balanced meals incl switching to vegetarian diet (cooked, not that raw BS fad diet that'll kill you). The oxygen helps b/c your own body is probably too heavy to allow your own oxygen supply created by your body to do its job. Stopping the meds for Lupus leads to vital organ damage so your lungs are probably damaged by your own doing, not a doc or drug(s)!

@miragemammaries well i havent officially been diagnosed with Lupus but ive had ulcerative colitis since 2007 and ive had this rash on my face and sometimes scalp since 2004/2005ish. Selsun Blue helped me for a long time then i got too used to it. I have tried antifungal creams and pills which helped for a while too but then they stopped working as well. the only thing that is working now is the steroids. currently taking clobetasol propionate but i have changed my diet alot too though

@unleasheth I'm happy to hear that you don't have Lupus. I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus in 2004. I have been taking Plaquenil for the better part of 7 years now. You need to understand that Lupus can be fatal, as it nearly was in my case, and drugs like plaquenil, and prednisone saved my life. I'm not knocking how other people choose to treat themselves, but you have to understand that sometimes drugs are lifesavers.

@miragemammaries my ulcerative colitis went from bad in 2007/08/09 to good in 2010 and 2011. what i did differently was load up on probiotics, take raw honey everyday, and take garlic and ginger pill combos to kill yeast and fungus everyday. i also dont drink cows milk anymore. goats milk or kefir and rice milk are ok. i cant drink alcohol and cant do tobacco still, but im alot better now than where i was a few years ago. so this is how i know natural remedies do work. its what we are eating

I'm glad that the natural route works for you. As for me, I'm off the prednisone, and I'm taking a daily maintenance dose of Plaquenil as insurance against another Lupus flare. I tolerate the drug quite well, although some people have serious problems with it. ANyway, I hope you get to feeling better, UC is no fun.

@miragemammaries I agree completely M. As I was saying above, in my case it's a win-lose scenario. If I stop taking the Plaquenil, I may keep the light perception longer or I may not. There's no rhyme nor reason to the disease; hwr, if I stop taking, Lupus will begin to destroy my vital organs eventually and sooner or later they will fail & I will die but as the eye specialist said: "The eye disease is not fatal yet Lupus is." I can live w/no sight but I can't live w/o working vital organs.

@unleasheth Yeah, Plaquenil in doses above 400mg a day can cause retinal damage, and possibly lead to blindness. I've never been on more than 400mg a day, and now I'm taking only 200mg per day. I've been seeing an opthamologist since I was first diagnosed, to monitor for retinal damage, and fortunately for me, I've never had any problems. Plaquenil is definitely not for everyone, but it has been a lifesaver for me, and has given me back my ability to live and enjoy life again.

You need to understand that alternative medicine isn't always an option for everyone. @unleasheth It sounds as if you weren't taking the Plaquenil b/c you'd bought into this crap & when you did start taking it, you got the side effects that go away within 1-2 weeks b/c if you'd taken the meds as directed, you wouldn't have felt sick. It was your own fault you made yourself sick. You're doctor can prescribe anti-emetics (stops nausea & vomiting) until your over the initial side effects then the only time you get sick is when you don't rest, eat right, etc, you go into a flare.

If you take any hormone replacement therapy w/progesterine or estrogen then you are setting yourself up for cancer in the breast or the prostate to grow faster & make it more difficult to treat b/c estrogen & progesterine causes cancer to spread faster & grow larger. I recently had 2 cysts removed from my rgt breast & I have another we're checking on & 4 others in the lft breast to remove. HRTs & 1 cancer cell & I'm fighting breast cancer too.

So I guess that answers your question... as of this moment, there is no hard PROOF that vaccines are the CAUSE of autism. Routine blood tests and baseline EKG scans give a baseline to compare to in order to catch signs/symptoms as early as possible in case of the onset of cancer, hyper/hypo-thyroidism, diabetes (type I & II), & many others. People w/half a brain want early detection, esp of cancer incl prostate b/c early detection means early treatment & chance to stop it b4 it spreads to the point where treatment isn't possible.

Years later w/annual eye exams caught diabetic retinopathy early, laser surgery saved his sight. Any real parent wants to know these things to prevent early death, kidney damage, loss of sight, etc... DH's annual eye exams caught diabetic retinopathy early enough to do laser surgery & prevent blindness. It's good thing, not bad!

As for recalled drugs, this is not unusual b/c drugs are tested in clinical trials w/limited number of patients. The trials can't catch EVERY issue from a new drug but it does catch the largest & most prominent 1s & if the risk is too great, the drug therapy is discont'd or re-analyzed to remove the obstacles & start new trials.

@unleasheth It's clear you have no knowledge as to how a drug compound even gets to the FDA; 1st, it's compounded in a lab where it's often tested on lab rats/mice; if safe then phase 2 is human trials, which involves 3-4 stages. If it's not safe, it's back to square 1. If safe, it goes to the FDA for approval. Many probs aren't known b/c the trials can only include a specific # of people; if safe then, the FDA reads info & make a choice 2 approve/not. If approved, it goes to a larger pool of pt

@poker7499 There's no EXACT amount of time but know that if you don't take the drugs to slow the disease, you will be allowing Lupus access to your vital organs much sooner than they would have otherwise been & then allowing Lupus to destroy those vital organs until they stop functioning and you die. @unleasheth I hate to tell you this but there have been 8 women in my family who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and 2 friends with ovarian cancer. They are cancer free today and have been for a number of years with the last one being cancer free for 6 years and no signs of cancer having returned so you're all wrong and again, spreading lies! BTW, 1 of those cancer survivors was an 80yo woman who beat cancer w/o the need of a mastectomy. Removal of cysts & chemo did it & she's cancer-free

The best we as lupus sufferers can do is to stay as healthy as we can by staying out of crowds in cold & flu season, seeking regular treatment w/doctors, if considering herbal meds - TELL YOUR DOCTOR! M doc knows what herbs I use & is ok w/it as long as it's not contra-indicated or counterproductive w/my care. Most docs are open to alt. therapy as long as they aren't left out of the loop. If you want to seek herbal medicine therapy, find a doctorate in herbal meds, not some YTuber seeking hits!

@brokenwingb4 There are more autoimmune diseases out there than RA, 4 types of lupus, Sjgoren's, etc... In fact, there is Celiac, Lichen Plantus, etc... If the autoimmune disease has reached your vital organs, I'm sad to say there is little you can do. Hwr, I do recommend finding a highly reccommended rheumatologist & neurologist to find how progressed the disease has become. There's always a chance of a med/s that will slow the progress tho' it won't be easy. Early diagnosis &treatment is key.

@brokenwingb4 BTW, I have that same rash on my head as well. It's on the back of the head mostly but it does reach temples sometimes. There's a Rx shampoo that helps clear it up. I've gone months without it & had it come back for months. Its all part of the disease process. The important thing is reducing your risk of infection. Infection & organ failure are our #1 problems. It's why it's important to get a diagnosis/es early, treatment early, & follow a specific regimen to stay healthy/alive!

One version of lupus is called "drug-induced lupus." If you've supposedly "cured yourself" of lupus then you probably had drug-induced lupus & your doctors just took you off the drug that was causing the symptoms yet not the true disease. The rest of us live in the real world with real lupus that hurts & screws up our days, makes nights difficult, can't plan, can't do much spur of the moment things & we rely on meds to live & control pain & other side effects of THE REAL LUPUS!

Did she say "fix the cells that oxygen has damaged" at 1:03? I am glad that she found something that helps her, but her problem was probably not enough oxygen in her body.
I was in terrible pain with my arthritis until I found The Oxygen Therapy Program 2 years ago. It took just 3 days and my pain was gone! I have been on oxygen therapy for the past 2 years and the pain has not returned.
I am breathing better, I am feeling better and I am living better. I am living proof that it works.

@lynnegordon As for your arthritis, I guarantee you it was not on the scale as to what DH & I live through each day or you'd find your precious so-called oxygen therapy would NOT work. I've lived with arthritis most of my life but now it's at a point where sooner or later I will end up in a wheel chair permanently. I managed to work my way out of one a few yrs ago tho' docs weren't expecting it but I did it. Next time, I don't know if I'll be as fortunate but I'll keep trying tho 1 day I'll lose

I wish that people would understand that too, they're just a mask. I eat very healthy now and avoid all intolerances and allergies, exercise, and I feel a LOT better. You won't always feel 100%, but the natural way is a lot better than steroids. IMO Some people need steroids at a certain point, if they're on the verge of dying I guess, but I think there are healthier ways that most people/drs are not seeing yet.

Almost all diseases can be maintained, controlled or even cured by the foods we take into our bodies. @lynnegordon Why am I here? I am here to prevent REAL PEOPLE with little to no money from spending what little they have some some so-called miracle cure from losing everything they have while getting false information about a disease that as of right now has no cure.
As for you, where did you earn your medical degree? Where did you do your residency training? Who was the doctor w/tenure that wrote an recommendation for your to graduate from medical school in a specialty program?

@PaisleyPlace, ny922 and Stacielee1967 are examples of dis-information specialists. The pharmaceutical industry makes 6 million dollars every 8 hours.
They can afford to hire legions of these demons to troll anywhere alternative therapies are being discussed.
Their only job is to say how they tried it and it didn't work or how some1 they know got hurt or killed from trying it.
And when all of that fails, their last resort is to verbally attack anyone whose opinion is different from theirs.

@lynnegordon Someone with lupus died? Well, that's not unusual considering the end result of lupus is the fact it is fatal. Besides, nobody lives forever. It's part of the natural process of life. You live then you die and if you have lupus, you die sooner. It's just that simple. It's not a difficult point to grasp. I just hate you don't have the brains to understand it. Maybe I should spell it out like you were a 2 year old & use crayons then maybe you'd get it! Everyone else seems to get it.
