I almost cried when I heard someone call this the most important speech since the 'I have a dream' speech. MLK wanted to bring us all together, he wanted us to FORGET THE HATE and move on. Obama wants to dwell on the mistakes of others and refuses to admit his own. If you like Obama, PLEASE do some research. In his first book, he ADMITS he used to think less of non-blacks. How is this OK? Now we find out his pastor of 20 years is a racist paranoid hate monger, and Obama refuses to denounce him.

You're missing the point, he's saying that his pastor is much better than the negativity shown of him. It would be impossible to denounce him for the snippets shown, after 20 years of knowing him.

Actually his outline of the race problem in this country was very very real. It was not as good as MLK, but you really cant match that. MLK came around when there was no way to go but up (and he wasnt running for president). Barrack Obama managed to do two things with this speech. First off, he condemed Rev. Wright's sermons which saved his campaign but he reused to condemn Wright as a friend, which in my opinion saved his soul so to speak. This is the 21 Century's version of Nixon's Checker's Speech.
