I've had this headset for a couple of years before trying your settings and I have to say they are excellent. I rock more bass than you just because I love to hear the thump of my gunfire but I do understand the concept of why you turn yours all the way down.
I went back and played MW2 after changing to your settings and I was amazed how much better it was. Good job and thank you.
when i try to adjust the delay + or - its only adjusting the volume and my switch is on TD i tryed evey thing dosent seem to do anything exept from volume help plz !
Dude, the time delay (TD) sounds awful in BF3 it makes an echoing sound which is very obvious on 1 millisecond and unbearable on 10 milliseconds. it distorts the sound but in an odd way i do get a better perception on where the shot is fired when its very chaotic with multiple gunfire and explosions its better with singling out on a particular sound. However, did i mention how horrible it sounds though. I only have BF3 so i don't know if its just an error with that game.
@Eggie4Prez its not something you do m8, just make sure you hsve set your console to optical 5.1 sorround and the decoder will switch whenever it needs to
I just looked at your lights on the box and its the first light and the 3rd light is on. Mine is the first and second. I have Digital, PL and DCR. Is yours different?
sorry man one more question also, i know CTR stands fr centre, but what does it mean, whats the difference between CTR and SURR and which one do you want?
also i dont notice any difference with the TD, maybe thats just me!!
Hi I have a couple of questions from this video hope you can answer them. what position should the two switches be in when playing Call of Duty , to the left or right? or does it not matter? what the CTR stand for and mean? and what is VL/PL? you mentioned at the end of the video quickly that you should make sure you have the volume on the box full..how do you do that? and why do you need to do that? thanks bro, really like your video too
@blahh693 1. doesn't matter, 2. it stands for centre, 3. you need to have the switch on VL and then pressing minus or plus buttons will increase or decrease the volume
@a101k47 what i dont get is there is two switches, so when your pressing the plus or minus buttons how do you know which ones you are turning up or down, because i could be turning the CTR right down while turning the TD down?
and just so i have this right (i know i need it spelled out for me haha!) turn the CTR right down to the bottom, turn the VL/PL right up to the top and the TD to 10? is that right? thanks again
Wow. Prologic coverts a 2 channel signal into a simulated 5.1 signal. Dolby digital automatically turns on with the optical cable, it is true 5.1 surround sound. So obviously the prologic isn't needed.
For everyone who wants to know how to turn off the headset:
hold the butten for the front channel and at the same time press the volumecontrol thing in (not up or down, press it IN) and hold both at the same time. now headset is turning off. :)
hey, my PL light is not lighting up even tho my optical cable is all connected and everything. when i turn on my xbox the pl light is on, but then it switches over to dolby digital. does this mean im not getting surround sound? if so how do i fix this?
Does the decoder box save the settingyou put it too so when u unplug it from the wall or switch it to a different system, you don't have to redo the settings on it?
Hi I had my Tritton for a day now THERE AWESOME and I was wondering 2 things how take the ear pads off and what settings do you recommend for the volume settings please put the name and color :) Message me or Respond Here thanks!
Can anyone explain what the 'CTR' Option on the amp box does? I realise that the 'Sur' on TD alows you to have a delay between the headphones but what is the best place for the CTR on the box? Also what is the best option on the xbox for the SUR? Digital stereo, dolby Digital 5.1 or dolby Digital with WMA Pro?
I just got mine yesterday and they are sweet. I tried the PX21 and took them back the next day. I can't wait to try the setting you recommended and the ones from DoctorPizza1
I have a problem with my trittons. How can i hear my teamates talking. Because whenever i go in a game with these babies i can only hear the battle. HELP! :/
because I have a hard time finding a delay that in conjunction with the rear channel delay does not produce the hollow sound I mentioned earlier. But again this is a personal preference. The awesome thing about these headphones is the level of sound tailoring that can be achieved, be sure to take the time to tweak the sound as it can really improve your performance in multiplayer games and your overall enjoyment of the game. Cheers!!
then play a minute then raise it to 1ms, another minute then raise it a step to 2ms and so on. Everyone hears differently based on the shape of their ears and the way they perceive sound. I set my rear TD to 7, which eliminated the hollow sound for me. Some people may find that 0ms sounds bet to them, some 10ms, some 15ms. But this setting is going to be different for everyone. Make sure to take the time and experiment to find the setting that sounds best to you. I keep the center TD at 0ms
Inline controller is that you can tweak these settings between respawns. The final setting I adjust is the time delay. This is the setting that game me the most headache. I have seen in a lot of recommended settings for the rear channel time delay to a hard an fast 10ms. I have found that t to my ears that this setting gives me a very hollow sound, like I'm putting my ear to a seashell. The best method I have found for setting the rear channel TD is to start a game with the rear TD at 0ms
tweak the setting from time to time but its really only ever one step up or down. The way I judge the level of the sub is when an explosion from a grenade, tank fire, air strike or any loud, dynamic, bassy sound is produced in a game. What I try to achieve is getting just enough of the boom in the bottom end so that if I turned the sub down one or two steps that it would vanish. This setting is different for me between MW2, Blackops, and Battlefield BC2. Thats the great thing about having
Then I raise the volume level on the controller so that the rear is the highest white, the front is on step below that, the center one step below the front, and the sub is on the highest blue. All these settings again are a personal prefernce but the one one major thing I stress is setting the sub too high kills the directionality of the sound produced by the headphones. On top of that it kills my ears. I was amazed by how much the soundfield was improved by adjusting this setting. I still
Once I have the volume setting right I then set each channel on the inline controller. This setting is very game dependent so its really up to your preference. I have found the best setting for Modern Warfare 2 for me is the Front channel +4, rear +5, center +3, and the sub -1 (on blue light). I do this by lowering the volume on the the inline controller to the highest blue (low), then raising the rear one click so its on white, the I select the center channel and put that one click down.
(medium)while having close to the desired volume level for the game. This is not going to be your final volume level, all your trying to do is get a good volume balance between the decoder box and the inline controller. Then go into the menu for whatever game you are playing and set the final volume from there. The reason I do this is most games give more increments in the volume level then either the decoder box or inline controller so you can really dial in the perfect volume.
and irritating. I have found that a lot of the overall sound quality good or bad relates to the volume level between your system, the decoder box, the inline controller, and the master volume for the game your playing. So what I have found to be the best setting for the overall tonal balance of the headphones is like I said before setting your system output down 20 to 30 percent. Then setting the decoder box and inline controller so that the inline controller indicator lights are white
radio so that when your in your car driving you can still hear the quiet parts of the music over road noise. I have found that the first thing you should do is lower the overall volume of your system. I have a xbox360 so I go to system menu, preferences, voice, then lower the game volume to around 7 or 8 out of 10. I'm sure the playstation has an option to do this as well. The reason I do this is it seems that if the xbox is outputting too hot of a signal that the ax pros sound very bright
I my Ax Pro's a couple of months ago and have been researching quite a bit about the best settings for them. DRC should be turned off as has been said in almost every recommend setting I have seen. I have not seen this explained very well so let me give it a shot using my Audio Engineer schooling. What DRC does is compresses the dynamic range of the signal. It takes the loudest and softest sounds and kind of smashes them so that the volume difference is leveled. This same idea is used in
I''ve tried these settings, but they don't work for me. The sound is very thin and I miss the bass. Can someone tell me how te reset the time delay on the decoder? I want to reset everything and adjust the sound to my liking.
I have these for my PC. I have them hooked up through the optical cable and everything is working. But I do not seem to be getting that "surround" sound feel. The Dolby Digital (DD) lamp is not lit on the Sound Box and Pro Logic doesn't sound good at all...
How do I enable 5.1 Surround Sound on the PC? There isn't a setting for it in Realtek HD Audio Manager or in the sound manager in the control panel. ARGH! Someone please help me out ;-;
@a101k47 Hi I have a couple of questions from this video hope you can answer them. what position should the two switches be in when playing Call of Duty , to the left or right? or does it not matter? what the CTR stand for and mean? and what is VL/PL? you mentioned at the end of the video quickly that you should make sure you have the volume on the box full..how do you do that? and why do you need to do that? thanks bro, really like your video too
I have one question for you: Do you have this sort of "shower" sounds when you're playing with that setup? I mean I tried this and it worked all good but whenever something loud occured, i.e. Barret going off or a barrel exploding, it sounded like it happened in a shower.
@roobsta10 your headset should turn automatically glowing when its connected to a power source. you might have a faulty LED lights inside ur headset :/
@IIxReLeNtLeZZxII don't listen to leftstriker i can hear myself with ninja pro and if i crank it on most maps i can hear other people withen like 10 feet but i really have to be listening. If you have sitrep pro, you can hear em no problem if ur crouchin or standing still
@brokovich86 there are no ingame settings. just do whta i showed on the headset and your gd. also on all games make sure you have the 5.1 surround headphone option selected from the ingame audio settings to ensure optimal quality ;)
@a101k47 hey dude what do you mean by ´´make sure you have the 5.1 surround headphone option selected from the ingame audio settings to ensure optimal quality ;)´´?? there´s no option like that in mw2...
BTW is there any option you can recomend for the PS3 audio and video settins? (pan scan or letterbox , bitsstream or PCM lineal, etc). Thanks again...

How do I enable 5.1 Surround Sound on the PC? There isn't a setting for it in Realtek HD Audio Manager or in the sound manager in the control panel. ARGH! Someone please help me out ;-;

Should the sounds be real sharp instead of a lot of bass?

the lowest setting on the in-line cntroller is not just to go all the way down, and then +1 up .... its:
All the way down and then +1 up AND THEN +1 down
go ahead and confirm it, Might just be my cotroller thats weird.

@a101k47 Hi I have a couple of questions from this video hope you can answer them. what position should the two switches be in when playing Call of Duty , to the left or right? or does it not matter? what the CTR stand for and mean? and what is VL/PL? you mentioned at the end of the video quickly that you should make sure you have the volume on the box full..how do you do that? and why do you need to do that? thanks bro, really like your video too

this is the worst sound quality setting I`ve heard, very tinny and echoes.
captfinest 9 months ago
Just adjust the handheld settings yourself because some people might want the bass on white or blue, etc. I personally like base!

Hey man, nice advices you got there.
I have one question for you: Do you have this sort of "shower" sounds when you're playing with that setup? I mean I tried this and it worked all good but whenever something loud occured, i.e. Barret going off or a barrel exploding, it sounded like it happened in a shower.
Anyways, thanks for the tips.

DieselFuel96 1 year ago
I have a problem, In most games when I enable the Dolby Digital Surround I can't hear voices and stuff, but I can hear everything is PERFECTLY
Then I switch it to Stereo and Voila! It works.
Can anyone help me get my 5.1 working?
This happens most noticeably in Killzone 3 and a few other games.
On some games it is minimal (BO and Halo Reach)

@brokovich86 there are no ingame settings. just do whta i showed on the headset and your gd. also on all games make sure you have the 5.1 surround headphone option selected from the ingame audio settings to ensure optimal quality ;)

BTW is there any option you can recomend for the PS3 audio and video settins? (pan scan or letterbox , bitsstream or PCM lineal, etc). Thanks again...
