  • Justin Bieber eat your heart out

  • I remember seeing this show when it first came. I was 12 years old and loved Donny and guess what, after 40 years I finally met him after a concert, he is such a sweetie!!!

  • Donny looks like an adult but sounds like he's 10! :D

  • thank you donny..regards from kuwait

  • Im 15, its 2011 and im watching this. I think if I was a teen back than, Donny Osmond would've been my crush <3

  • OMG! I STILL remember watching the first run of this on my parents' B/W TV! :-)

  • He ain't no Mike!!!

  • The Osmond's are so talented. I have enjoyed them since WE were kids together.

  • Lucy Arnaz is very tall for a woman, which makes Donny, who was small back then anyway, look tiny next to her. Lucy was ONLY semi-famous because of her Mom, as she personally had very little true talent. In this performance, she was singing SO off key it is painful to listen to her. Donny was extremely talented (and still is), and his singing was good, but the song was totally cheesy even for him to make it enjoyable. And Lucy's performance was simply awful.

  • Donny appears to have been zapped with a nefarious shrink ray.

  • @jaxxstraw LOL!

  • I think that's Jan Brady @1:55

  • No autotune--- Bieber will never match this talent of Donny

  • Never could stand Lucie Junior. Completely talentless.

  • Comment removed

  • When I was 14, I was a fan of Donny, but... what a bad performance... uuugghh... is it the band that plays off key or are they singing off key??

  • Beiber -- meet your maker ...

  • Donny was so cool !!!!! back then .

  • Lucy looks really good here.

  • lucie is gorgeous

  • that's truly awful ... they are pretty much killing the song ... listen to Dionne Warwick's version ... so much better ...

  • First...is the JAN BRADY sitting with Lucille Ball?? What an episode! Second...Lucy Arnaz went on to become well-respected as a Musical Theatre actress. I love her on the Original Cast Recording of THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG. She still performs in live theatre all over the country.

  • This is what Biber aspiers to.....great 70's hair and TALENT!

  • Oh my gosh, did no part of him just want to be a bit teenage rebellious :L

  • i like the osmonds version but karen rocks at this

  • Actually LOVE is all there is!!!...we just forgot how to

  • It is funny to see Donny sing with a women other then Marie!!!!

  • If I were Donny I would have hit that

  • I love Lucy

Still watch her show from time to time!

  • Lucy was a big woman, so I'm betting her daughter was also.

  • hahaha i love when donny breaks out in dance!

  • che bella! lo è anche la versione italiana:)

  • The day I fell in love with Doony Osmond was the day he appeared on Lucy. Yes,long, long time ago but I was 11 years old. I'm almost 50 now if that means antything. still have a crush on iim today.

  • wow, Lucie Arnez is way flat. ow.

  • "He'll never phone you?" Boys like it, too, when the girl takes the initiative. Anyway, Lucie and Donny made a great song together.

  • Oh my

  • I don't like the lyrics, but that tune is CATCHY!

Lucie could have sung better though.

  • as a child i thought they could sing...now i'm not so sure...lol

  • why? what's wrong now?

  • Nice, to see that back, soooo long ago!

  • Great video! However I agee Lucie's voice was not as good as it got. Great to see two of my favorite performers of all time Donny Osmond and Lucille Ball on the same video. Love them both. This video is on the best of Lucy video.

  • he may not be my fave Osmond anymore but he still had a killer smile!!!

  • Her singing is slightly out of key.

  • Congrats Donny on winning Dancing With The Stars :-)

  • funny dance. but I guess people during that day enjoy appreciate it. but I still like the song... I'm only 19 today.

  • Lucie Arnaz was so attracive and talented I wonder why she wasnt more popular. She will always be popular with me :-)

  • @trevor40

    attractive..yes

    talented..lol

  • @trevor40 Yeah so talented!

  • Ohh im loving Donnys face when she sings you get enough germs to catch pneumonia.

  • This was actually one of the best episodes in the 5th season of Here's Lucy. Lucie Arnaz' voice here was a bit flat but she was only 21 when this episode was filmed. She is very talented and within a few years was starring in "Seesaw" on broadway and eventually "They're Playing Our Song".

  • What do you get when you kiss a boy?

Um, that would be about eight to ten years, Lucie

  • @jiujitsutony LOL

  • @jiujitsutony TOP COMMENT!!!! Thank's you make my day!!!

  • Donny rocks this song....Lucy does not

  • hahahaha .. that's cool!

  • vídeo excelente e de ótima qualidade;

    parabéns

  • Is there a place where I can view the entire episode? Ah memories!!

  • this is from Heres Lucy!

  • Hey Im 14...Damn.i really hope i already get my face in tv show.

  • He kind of outshines her here, but it's still a lot of fun.

  • Love Donny, Lucy is flat and off key.

  • Lucy's daughter got 0 talent.

  • this is ... diferent

but in a good way =]

  • It's Arnaz - not Arnez!

  • Lucy Arnez was beyond hot what a body!

  • Lucy Arnez was HOT in her young days.

  • Wait a minute...is Lucy Arnaz is giant...or is Donny that short???

  • He was only 14 years old. So yeah he was shorter lol!!

  • @jimhinton60 she's also wearing heels I think

  • @jimhinton60 And she was much older! So yeah she would be full grown.

  • Does anyone have a clip from the "Here's Lucy" show where Lucie Arnaz imitates Cher and Frankie Avalon does Sonny. That one was great too!

  • i wonder if anyone has the full episode

  • It's one of the 24 episodes chosen by Lucie and Desi Jr on the "Here's Lucy - Best Loved Episodes" 4-DVD set . I bought mine on amazon.

  • Some interesting history on this snippet: it's from a 1972 episode of "Here's Lucy". Donny Osmond supposedly had a boyhood crush at the time on Lucille Ball's daughter Lucie Arnaz. This episode was written for him. Lucie was 21 at the time and already married. Donny was just a month shy of 15.... Lucie had to sit on the stool due to the fact she was a lot taller than Donny at the time.

  • Was that Jan Brady with Lucille? What a lineup!!!

  • anyone have the full episode??

  • it was on youtube but it has been taken of

  • I Loved Donny! I was so in Love. I still love him.

  • hehe!! i luv wot he dus wen she kisses him at the end=D totally luv this song and him=]

  • Was that Jan Brady with Lucy??

  • yes

  • yes that was jan brady

  • That was great!

  • She totally had her mother's height and legs. :) Lucille Ball was such a great actress. ((small snippet of her at the end..yay!!!))

  • Wow. This was the very first time I had seen Donny and fell in love. I was 11 years old. I rushed out and bought the Donny Osmand Superstar album.

  • I love how suddenly Donny rocks out to the music. Lucy tries to but has to REMAIN SITTING (she was way taller than Donny at that time).

  • poor lucie wasn't as good, but who cares, do you know who her mother was?! lol

  • We have waited a week to find out who her mother is... the suspense is killing me :D

  • Lucille Ball is her mother.

  • Thankyou, thankyou. Couldn't sleep, Couldn't eat... haahaahaha

  • Lucie Arnaz was 20 years old here.

  • The girl ruined it! he can sing and she cant

  • lol they made her sit down because he's so short

  • hes only 14 there and shes 30

  • i have a crush on donny osmand

  • cute :)

  • Its very good but i bieleve that Elvis Costello version is better but good job donny

  • nice

  • Good stuff

  • Wonder what Lucie Arnez is doing these days?

  • im not dissing but why does he sound like a girl?

  • 'Cause he was 14 that's why. His voice was just starting to change.

  • @teddytonks agreed

  • GO DONN NY! GO DONNNN NEEEE! GO DONNY! YEAH BABY YEAH! ....wish I could dance like that.....

  • great clip--thanks for posting!!

  • Donny's got mad dancin skills

  • Excellent songwriting.

  • I saw this one first run. Yep, I sure did.

  • Does anyone know how to get a copy of this show that Donny guested on? I've checked though the Lucy episodes and never found it... this was one of my favorties when I was a kid! (By the way Lucie Arnez is Lucille Ball's daughter.)

  • It's on the Here's lucy boxed set

  • Thanks flowerchild... I have lots of "Lucy's"... I'll start looking for this set!

  • hehehe Donny and Lucy Jr.

  • los pantalones de Donny hahahaha!!!:D

  • love yer Donny - so glad you ditched the bow-ties........

  • This was SUCH FUN to watch! Thanks! I remember watching "Here's Lucy" and this was such a great one...with my Donny on it! What a cutie he was...and still is! And Lucy is my NO.1 celebrity...next to Donny, of course!

  • lol holy crap thats tru that hair really is in hahaha

  • she seems flat.

  • I'm lost here... wasn't lucie arnez the latter name of lucille ball? Weird coincidence.

  • ahhh hes so gorgeous!

  • ZAC EFRON!? i luv donny

  • This is pure sweetness !! I absolutely adore this.

  • Donna was very cute in this video. Love the hair, it's really in right now.

  • his voice is so much deeper now. type in mulan-i'll make a man out of you. he sings that!

  • donny was so cute back in the day

  • I remember this episode as well, but forgot how Jan ended up on Lucy---storyline wise.

  • I can't believe this was posted on You tube! I remember watching this episode of Lucy! I was soooo in love with Donny Osmond! I often think about this episode and if I would ever see a rerun on nick at night. Cool!!! Oh to be young again!!

  • those good old days. I feel like 14 again

  • i really like his songs~!!

  • I remember my sisters were so mad because they had to do chores when this was on!!Ahh...days before the vcr!

  • thanks

  • donny with lucy has not bin out in years

something i looked for all the time

i was only 2years yunger the donny when it came out

they were all great and always will be the best

  • You can find this episode on the Here's Lucy DVD box set.

  • Love it!

  • I think Lucie might be a little too much woman for young Donny at this age.

  • just great--they both look so beautiful!!

  • Just love Donny showing off his "70's moves" during the bridge at 55 seconds in :)

  • Lol, me too!!

  • she's so beautifull,he should of sang "can't take my eyes off you".

  • She was just fooling around here, believe me,the girl can sing!

  • I never get tired of Donny it was so cool I wish they had shows like that!!!!

  • My God.....Get the hook. She is making me sick!!!!!

  • oh is this cute!

  • OMG DONNY WAS SO HOT!!!

  • Donny's write on key, she's consistently sharp

  • She's an actress. She is Lucille Balls daughter. Her father is Dezi Arnez Sr.

  • It's Desi Arnaz and Lucie Arnaz; not Luci, not Dezi, not Arnez.

  • OK, Donnie should have unbuttoned the tux before dancing--am I alone on this?

  • I did watch this from Netflix. Lucie must have been taller than Donny? I remember being so jealous of Eve Plumb! :)

  • Another fab clip!!

  • She did act in 'The Jazz Singer'with Neil Diamond..that was a big role!

  • WOW! Never saw that one before.

And if I ever meet Donny I'll have to ask him what it was like to sing to **swoon** Lucy Arnaz.

  • Cute but I can't help think of the Carpenter's version around this same time and how much better that is.....this is more tounge and cheek I know.... butt....

  • You can't compare a comedy bit with the Carpenters version...c'mon. Of course the Carpenters is better...if it wasn't better than a live comedy bit done with a non-pro singer, then ..... hahahaha. I'm the original Carpenters rabid fan, but I like Dionne Warwick's version. So cool, elegant, and effortless.

  • This is so cute.

Sort of sad that Donny is such a better singer than her. The contrast is a bit unfair.

We got this disc on Netflix to see the full episode. It was so cute and great to see Donny TALKING at 14.

    Thanks for posting!

  • lol is she sitting because he is so little

  • Thank you for posting. I loved this episode way back when as I was a huge Donny fan. Memories.......

  • OMG I remember this so well. I taped it and watched it 100 times. I had almost forgotten. You bought back some wonderful memories.I was a huge Donny fan. Thank you for posting this.

  • If she had half the talent of her mother she would have gone farther. But she wasn't bad in the TV Movie The Black Dahlia.

  • Anyone who had half the talent of Lucille Ball would be a star. It's not fair to compare people with superstars who are way above everyone else. Very very very few people have that kind of talent. On top of that, I think Lucille went so far because of her top-notch determination. Lucy Arnaz could have made it further if she really wanted to, but that requires a lot of personal sacrifice and maybe she didn't want to sacrifice herself and her family. She never went hungry, to put it mildly.

  • this is not lucie ball is it her daughter

  • Lucille ball & was that jan brady in the audience at the end??? great post

  • Yes that was Eve Plum from the Brady Bunch.

  • I love Lucie :-)

  • This episode is from 1973 (the last season of Here's Lucy in 1973-1974) when Donny was 15. It couldn't be from 1971 because Donny was 13 at that time and his voice hadn't changed yet at that time.

  • Correct.

  • I remember seeing Lucy in an old 40s movie where she did a little singing there. Not bad for a commedian...

  • Yeah...Lucy can sing a lot better than she pretends. She's just clowning when she sings badly on I Love Lucy. She can sing fine, she just knows that she's not a superstar there and she has high standards for herself.

  • How does Lucy look so god for 60 years of age.

  • Ok can somebody tell me please??? Lucy was born in 1911 ok and this was filmed in 1971 since Donny was 14. How they hell does she look so good for 60 years of age ????

  • Lucy always looked great for her age. The Lucie singing in with Donny is Lucy's daughter.

  • Donny was 15 in 1973 when this show aired. His voice had changed by then so this episode would not be from 1971.

  • Here ya go--it was first aired Nov. 20, 1972. I remember it was the Monday before Thanksgiving and all the girls in my PE class were all abuzz about this show coming on that night. So D was 14 when it was taped, probably that summer.

  • Are you people crazy that say Lucy can't sing ?? I'm confused to be honest. This was life show and as far as I can hear Lucy has a lovely voice.

  • Very cute

  • Oh my God! I remember seeing this the first time it was on and I've always wanted to have it on tape. Thank you thank you for posting it!

  • Cool, I never saw this scene before. Where was Desi Jr.? I always thought Luci and Desi Jr. reminded me a little of Donny & Marie.

  • Desi Jr. had left the show in 1971.

  • eve had a crush on donny and he had a crush on luci it was a good episode.

  • anyone know where i can find this episode....i just love mr osmond hmmm

  • It's on the Here's Lucy box set.

  • wow he is soo young in this video

  • Too bad Luci can't sing a lick!

  • awesome--sitcoms certainly dont try this hard any more.

    This is just great!!!
