Also wanted to mention that Renee was not built like a typical 20's Flapper. She was a very shapely young woman. in an era where popular fashion sometimes downplayed such a thing.
Renee Adoree was one of the most beautiful of all the Silent Stars. And really that is saying allot. Her still photos rarely do her justice. She was so easy to fall in love with. I also think she was among the finest actresses of the entire era as well. Worked with many of the greats. Gilbert, Chaney, Thomas Meighan, Ramon Novarro, among others. A Top MGM leading lady, and also Starred in her own successful films. Renee along with Colleen Moore are probably my two favorite Silent ladies.
This was a really great presentation of Renee Adoree. She had class, talent, beauty, charm, and grace. She was one of a kind. She my all time favorite silent and{sound}actress.Once again, great presentation of a great and beautiful actress.
I think that is so cool, an excellent choice. We just watched the Big Parade, and although Garbo is my favorite actress, I really believe Gilbert and Adoree had a wonderful chemistry in the greatest film (in my opinion) of the silent era, certainly the film that made MGM! Peace out, ricko
