I've been very fortunate to see Vanessa-Mae live in concert three times (soon to be 4) and I can honestly say she is an incredible live performer - though you'd never think it she has a similar stage presence to people like Madonna and Kylie - just a different genre of music. The first time I saw her she jumped off stage and ran around the auditorium and stood about 2 meters away from me - was a great experience.

I think she's singing the song in the best way possible to evoke the emotions of the listener.

I think if she pumps it up (volume-wise or pitch-wise ... both are hard to do if your vocal chords cannot stand the strain) then the soothing feeling will be lost and it won't serve Donna Summer original version any justice.
