I think the person who made this has some wrong German.... I am Romanian and even i know this is wrong German XD sorry to sound like a nagger
Well for starters Nien is "No" not "Never". and "Du hast mich" (Which are the lyrics) are "You got me" also the back up singers are sing "Ja" which is over passed so it make the song sound wierd. :/ sorry again ^^ Rant over XD
ich love du hast mich weil it ist awsome ja hahahahahah i know german or germen in germen is [dutch] now i will repeat in [dutch] ch knoten dutch or dutch in dutch ist [dutch] hahahahah told you
lmao it isnt hast, its hasst. or in a slightly more accurate visual setting, in Germany you would see it written haBt, but the 'b' would look more like a 'p' with the 'b' top and the 'p' bottom half. since two ss are combined to that acronym like letter.
Hasst means hate. Hast means have. It was supposed to be du hast mich as in You have me. And hasst does not have a ß in it cause the a in hast makes a short sound so there is no ß. However if there is a long sound like au, ae, ei, ie, then it has a ß. It is supposed to be Hast not hasst.
becouse hast has two differents meanings, hate and have. is you hate me becouse du and mich are pronoums and change de verb. and this is for kelseykilljoy.
in second this music and is traduction are very good.

du hast mich means you have me. I have learned english, my native language is german, unless I have learned english incorrectly. Trust me, hast is have and hasst is hate.
@kelseykilljoy Hallo. Ich spreche Deutsch, Too. Meine erste Sprache war Englisch, obwohl, leider. Aber ich bin ein Teil Deutsch. Ich wollte meine eigene Sprache zu sprechen. Froh zu wissen, jemand anderes spricht es. Aber, ich bin nicht sicher, ob \"Du Hast Mich\" bedeutet: Sie haben mich. Hehe. Nur sage. :)
kelsey killjoy is right hast is have and hasst is hate. when they translated the song they said Hell Hast and hasst sound the same so lets make it hate cause nobody will notice.
Geez, everyone who's calling the translation wrong, it isn't 100% accurate because those are the lyrics of the English version which were edited to make more sense in English and fit the beat etc etc.
Uhm.. well, to correct: 'Du hast mich' DOES mean 'You hate me', but someone doesnt know its starting a sentence which means 'You have asked me' until they finish it, so its a PLAY ON WORDS. Okay? Stop arguing!
The translation of the rammstein song is completely wrong. The slight misunderstanding of the mainline of the song has lead to a complete misunderstanding of the song. "Du hast mich" translates to "You have me" not "You hate mich". This song is not about hate as this translation would lead a person to believe. In actuality, this is a song about devotion until death.
Actually, du are wrong. It is used in both you hate and you have. See, I know what I'm talking about, I have spoken with der band and, well, ich sprechen Deutsche.
Interesting video. I've seen the entire anime series, but never the movie. I still refuse to see the movie due to the lack of Kakyou, but I digress. The graphics could use work (they were pretty blurry throughout), but it was otherwise good. The song fit well with the graphics and it was an overall lovely video.

'Du Hast' is not 'Du Hasst'.
The first is "you have" the second is "you hate". The author's lyrics use 'hast'.
I think you'll find the author meant both.

A more accurate translation for 'never' would be 'nie', since 'nicht' means 'not'.
In Old English not used to be spelled "naught."
Naught = nicht
Just like how night = nacht
The vowels just need to be switched up, but otherwise German and English are almost the same in spelling.

"have", "hate", "Who gives a fuck!" the song is fucking awesome
lookaflyingmonkey246 3 years ago
its the hast that means HAVE its a play on words making fun of marriage.
I dont know all the German but one of the lyrics translates to:
" you have me forever til death does sever" or some shit like that. BAsically its a play on words.
