@MrGametown123 Not exactly. The reason Twist and Shout is "rough" is because Twist and Shout was the last song the group recorded in one session. They had to record about 12 songs (an entire album, which I believe was the Please Please Me album) and John's voice was almost gone. He had been sucking on lozenges and drinking milk since he had lost his voice from singing so many takes of all the songs on the album. Twist and Shout was one take I do believe, because that's all John could manage.

Did you know that the song was originaly planned to be sung by John Lennon? But John got sick and Paul had to sing it?

Paul never sang in public and he was very nervous

@Kidialo No, actually the reason Paul sings it is because George Martin wanted the harmonica solo to be played with the singing, so he had Paul sing and John play the harmonica part. He was nervous when they first recorded this yes, but he got over it. John was never sick, you can hear him singing with Paul when he isn't playing the harmonica part. It's all in the Beatles' Anthology film.
