paradiddle concept is easy, the problem is,when i start speeding it up,i loose control and get clumsy,or sometimes I turn it into a single stroke roll or somethin like that...but i'm gradually getting a bit ,tiny bit, faster everyday though and less clumsier as well.
Nice kit! Personally, id never fund a use for that many toms or cymbals, but still that looks awesome! I already knew this fill, but this is still a very good video as well :)
great vid. love to try this sometime. when you sped it up at the end using the ride it sounded like a type of music called "drum and bass music". Im not saying thats what your goin for but it could be used in that type of music. Cheers and happy holidays.
Ha! Pretty cool! When you play fast it seems so difficult and confusing, but when you slow it down, it seems so much easy and creative! But I still have some problems to incorporate Paradiddle Fills in the songs. But I will keep practcing. Thans a lot again, and nice kit!
@aurodrummer Practice it with metronome at different tempos. Add your kick drum on 1234 and progresively change the kick by remove it or adding more beat to it. I think it's important that you do it very slow first. Next thing you know you can do any it with any kick pattern
it helped me a lot, i recently started to play drums and starting to see paradiddle and your video it made things easier. I was able to do this fill, slower obviously but i did it thanks to you from Argentina!
Ohhh I'm sooo bustin this out at tomorrow's band practice. Thanks! I like how you broke it down into little pieces. You made it very understandable! I'm so stoked to play this fill!
thanks! this helped me. I've been trying to learn ways to move paradiddles around the kit, but nothing really sounds that appealing to me. I think it's prolly cause i'm not at the speed that you're at (in the beggining) yet =/ ...lol cause I'm pretty sure I've came up with this same pattern at one point..
My favorite rudimente is paradiddle, this is helpful! I really need to get the drums you play! can you get me the me the info for what toms you use, inches and brands and such?
Thanks loads, i watched this vid and picked it up over a night! You rock at drummig. If you can make any more tutorial vids that would be great. I'm only 13 and you tought the paradiddle thing well. Thankyou.
That sounds cool! Great way of explaining it. Its crazy how something so basic as a paradiddle can be something that sounds completely different! great job!
just to practice write them out with the accents on the beat. Start slowly, build it up until it's clean. You won't be able to use it often though, maybe your not using it in the right context, and that's why it screws up the band, but i dunno...
I'm trying to save my money to incorporate electronics into my set up....Hey I'm a huge fan of the Paradiddle-paradiddle-diddle...are you gonna put any clips of it with the combos you explained on your kit?
