  • Hahah, so true!

  • I'm French, and I've to admit that this video is right ahah, you can, actually, as a person who don't speak French, have a long conversation with a French without using any verb, without making phrases which make sense, just with some "Pfff mais putain oui", "Rohhh là lààààà", and we (French people) won't notice, even if you don't understand any thing of what we're saying. :)

  • @TheParazited unless you asked a direct question

    mdr

  • Troppo bello e troppo vero...

  • i've studied french for 7 years now and i had no idea what that woman was talking about. But i did understand merde ;)

  • Comment removed

  • putain, merde, fait chier, trop cool!

  • another missing insult (typical, said all the time) that should have been used in this video 'fait chier"!! right after "putain"!!

  • love it! the blonde woman is obviously not French as she can't hold a wine glass properly and eat bread properly as well.....(no one in France eats a piece of Baguette like that!); also she does'nt smoke while the French woman smokes non-stop!! cliché? probably but, in fact it's cool that an American woman reads the Bescherelle (best reference for French grammar) while the French people don't read or work with it as they really should...

  • @COQUILLE710813 Putain de merde

  • subtitles would be amazing

  • the singer is Fréhel, but i dont recall which song it is actually

  • first class actress

  • So true LOL !!!!!!!, c'est vrai MDR!!!!!

  • Ha! this is really funny and even funnier if you undserstand the French.

As others have commented, one could totally remake this and title it " How to Fake Speaking English" using just the word F**K with different intonations...LOL!!

  • the song in the background, anyone?

  • Very funny...

  • W, steps 2 and 4 are so true!

  • Rrrrhô, ouh la la ! XD So true...^^

  • I thought that's just how the French language sounded. Full of grunts and groans. LOL

  • Hahaha! Tres drole. Very clever. (Sorry, I have no accents or circonflex on my keyboard.)

  • I am French and I think it is hysterical!

  • Mercy Boo-CooP!

  • I wonder what the other girl was saying the entire time...?

  • @sportygurlis Basically she's talking about art, her husband, the americans (who can't make proper wine) and about a friend of hers whose boyfriend had sex with her sister after cheating on her about 4 times !

    Hope that helped :)

  • M'enfin!

  • LOL this is funnier if you're actually fluent in french ! :P

  • Steps 2 and 4 are SO TRUE!! I lived in France for a year; this stuff is true at least in Burgundy where I lived. Not sure about step 3, though

  • morte de rire !!!!

  • Это покатит для любого иностранного!))))

This technique will fit to any foreign language!))))

  • Actually you would give away your ignorance at Step 3. I've never seen any Frenchman eat bread this way. Usually you break off a piece that fits your mouth, probably put some butter and/or cheese on it and then eat it at once.

No, I'm not from France but I lived there for a while.

  • @blackcaeser0 It's meant to be funny, so they exxagerate.

  • Par ma figue ! zees eez fani !

  • I know i wasent the only one who was brought here by iHascupquake.

  • I'm French and this was f-in hilarious. Sooo true, no need to speak with complex phrases to have a decent conversation in French xD

  • if you can speak french, what she says is funny at times

  • Hmmmmm I'm French and it's not true... PUTAIN de MERDE!

  • @fastsnake I'm french its funny and TRUE ! Nom d'une pipe ! :)

  • @fastsnake manger merde et mourir! lol

  • lol they do make sounds!

  • @galelo11 Yes we do :')

  • @anaismuse i think rly that's cool !! gotta love the french

  • Ahahah i'm french and have to admit that this video is really funny. Some guys have to learn about self-deprecating.

  • Typique - les francais parlent et parlent - main n'ecoutent jamais!! :)

  • I was especially impressed with the prop cigarette. It added so much authenticity

  • @gloves71 its a joke you idiot, get a life. the people making this are probably language students

  • @tommo946 I would suggest that those people who can't speak a foreign language are the real idiots. They really think this is a valid attitude to have about foreign languages - and it is also why the English have such a negative attitude to mainland Europeans. Ignorance.

  • @gloves71 Dude, get a sense of humor! You take life way to seriously.

  • @aimsterloo You don't know anything about my life! You may continue to wallow in inscience if you must, but making this kind of joke about foreigners and foreign languages is pure ignorance and it's not a joke because it isn't funny. If the English woman on the left were speaking French and taking the piss out of the French woman's accent or hand gestures, that might be different. You should be laughing at her for being dumb and not being able to speak French... but you're not.

  • @gloves71 You're clearly missing the point of the video... its not offensive.

Saying French isn't difficult is a very biest opinion, I speak Japanese,English, a little cantonese, manderin and some basic Polish, mixed with basic German, and I learned French in school for several years and I always struggled with it, may be due to me trying to find parallels with the Japanese language but eitherway its opinion based.

I agree much of England is ignorant, but please dont generalise.

  • @TsukasaDomyouji Much of England is ignorant? Oh, thanks for that. It's spelled 'biased', you cunt.

  • @martang66 I'm English myself, and if you group England by people that have ANY interest in foreign countries, languages and people, then the number that don't is greater than the number that do, I say much of England when infact its much of the world. Also I know how its spelt, have you ever tried to youtube comment from an iphone before? its called a typo...

  • @TsukasaDomyouji I'd love to know what you are basing this on! England (well, Britain) has one of the highest percentages of citizens with passports in the world, suggesting that we are pretty interested in other countries. You are correct about the video not being offensive, though. It's absolutely spot on.

  • @martang66 I'm basing this on the fact that I live in south London where many of the people do indeed go abroad but going to spain just to visit pubs and get drunk (typical british holiday) isnt exactly 'interested in other countries'. I also think that because we have a very large number of foreign citizens that hold passports ths likely adds to the grand total. I dont think EVERYONE is like this, of course not, but generally it appears this way.

  • @TsukasaDomyouji I would avoid making generalisations based on south London. If the 'foreign citizens' are actually foreign then their passports don't skew the average.

  • @martang66 I'm not basing this fact on Sound London (though it does appear to be most prominent here), I lived in North London for many years and work in Central, the opinion in the south is stronger than the north, however as seen in the riots, there are MANY people who have zero interest in foreign anything, think how many millions back the BNP, sad but true I would say, not a RULE, but common indeed.

  • @TsukasaDomyouji I mean, the sheer number of people that agree with Tram Lady opinions is insane, I cant understand how anyone could be so blatantly wrong about almost everything they believe in, but people do.

  • I thought the girl on the right is faking French lol, so are we talking about the girl on the left?

  • @phamnamlong The girl on the right is speaking French. The girl on the left doesn't understand her.

  • C'est quoi la musique ?

  • Racism is fun

  • @MrDandman This isn't racist =='

  • @onemoresnottyopinion Glad to hear you weren't made to feel at home here ,if thats how you feel.

  • Cupquake :)

  • hahaha putain merde lol

  • its funny but the music is very loud!!

    i loved number 2! that's so true!

  • C EST LA MERDE!!! lol

  • Blonde is HOT!

  • Step 5

« Then came the time when he finally, after having cheating on him for 4 times, he finally agrees to marry me, and then, what does he do ? He fucks his sister.... crap crap crap »

  • What the French Woman says

    Step 4

« Yesterday I had a party with Americans,....(Putain !!! ) There were like « You know, us, in America, in the United States.... we are much evolved than you.. » crap crap crap... we have the wine ! we have the wine ? we have the wine... sorry they are not capable to make any kind of drinkable wine... what music concerns, I am sorry , I am sorry, I am sorry... no no vraiment vraiment no,... ah oui, mon cul (my ass), exactement... »

  • What's the French woman says

    Step 3

« Anyway next week I go back to Paris, and... wait and see, wait and see, wait and see, if the relationship will continue, or won't continue... he does not like the same stuff as I do, he does not like the same music as I do... it's useless, it does not help... it's totally useless... »

  • Step 2

« But yes, he has been a jerk, he has been a jerk, all the time, saying « you like this! », « you dress like that », you know what I mean ? You know I mean ? It's always the same ! It's always the same. No, no, no, I hope that he is going to come down a little bit because... I can't live this way, I can't live this way... »

  • What's the French woman says (translation by a friend of mine and me in Paris after a lot of "drinkable wine"

    Step 1

« Yesterday we went to the Louvre, it's crazy because you know all these paintings, and when you see them for real, it's not the same... when you see it for real... when you see a Van Gogh, when you see a Monet, it's really a « choc », it's really something... I don't know... Even for those don't particulary enjoy Art... »

  • What is the song in this video?

  • vraiment génial!!!

  • damn she probably smoked like 3 packs in this video!!

  • genius!

  • next: how to fake french when you know how to speak it.
