Another big issue with this idea is that unlike how it works in reality, you have to keep looking at the same spot (your TV/monitor) with your eyes even when turning your face away. It'd be nice to have at least 120º-worth of monitor so you can keep looking "forward" with your eyes, making this application a bit more useful. I suppose in that case, face-tracking would no longer be "as" necessary because the view would just be extended with the extra monitor real-estate.

This video was very helpful! It would be easier to set up the PSEYE tracking if the options screen loaded a dummy car scene so you could look around and tweak the settings and see the outcome. Changing settings, exiting options launching arcade mode, picking a mode, car and track only to find the settings aren't quite right and having to exit all the way back to the menu is annoying given the infamous loading times. Somebody needs to make a PSEYE mount for the Driving Force GT 'grip bolts'.

Wait It only works in Time Trial or Drift for me??? How come it works with races in other cars for you?

@dec0y8 As explained in the video, in Beginners races it works right away. To make int work in Intermediate and Professional ones you have to disable the Tyre/Fuel depletion option.

The problem is the camera - not the cable. I tried a set-up from about 6 feet away and it didn't work. I had to move in to about 3 feet for it to work.

The PS3 can support 4 moves so u can still use 2 moves for each hand.. The move balls don't have to be as large as they are really.. they can be 1/2 the size for the hat ..

GT5 should support wearing the move on your head :) It would be like having a super (and silly looking) Natural Point TracIR.

With this, a cap to hold the move, the 3D glasses, the mic+headset and a giant 65" 3D screen, you will definitely be detached from reality and be into the game!

@MrRaphaelLippi i'd prefere a 3 screen setup though. 3D may be nice to look at but after a while you will get headackes or crosseyed vision. With a 3 screen setup you can look around better than with the PSeye because it's always there and you don't have to wait for the camera to turn. G27 i agree ;-) but my g25 will do the trick.

@TheAbcd1234mk It's both Italian and Spanish, but Polyphony was "thinking Italian" when they came up with the name. Basically, it's in Italian in intent, but both Italian and Spanish in practice. The two languages are very similar.

I don't think I would ever use this in GT5, but the thought of it has always sounded cool :) The bits at the end, I hope sony make a story based game where you somehow can interact with the characters by speaking etc. I never knew the eye was good enough to track the mouth and eyebrows!
