Seeing all of these comments about the Donnellys being innocent...go to Wikipedia and find them. There's no way that they can be as innocent and loving as you all seem to say if Johannah cursed out many officers, and they managed to make so many enemies in Middlesex (so close to where I live, I can't help but take interest in their story).

The story is about the killing of a man in Port Hope, Ontario

and how the arrested and sent a whole bunch of guys to prison becuase of "conspiracy to commit murder" and the man who actually committed the murder was let off scott free because none of the witnesses could idnetify him as being at the crime scene.

No justice in Ontario....

It is a great song, which aptly describes the injustice caused to the Irish Donnelly Family, resulting in their Massacre by a Cowardly Mob in Ontario. Power to the Irish, because we always eventually destroy Injustice !!!

This is a good song, two cases of miscarriage of justice in Ontario: The eight wrongly accused men in Port Hope, and let us all not forget the Donnelly family who have been all been murdered in 1880 Lucan-Biddulph, near London: James Donnelly, his wife Johannah, sons John and Thomas, and a young niece from Ireland whose name i dont remember...In that case, they actually had six ringleaders on trial and they acquiited them all, nor not put on trial another 34 to 94 others who also took part in it
