  • Why would someone hate O'Reilly? This is Hilarious!!

"Bill, I'm whoever you want me to be."

  • O'Reilly really doesn't know why people love Stephen instead of him? I thought it was obvious. Stephen = Hot.

  • are they serious, or are they doing it for the lulz?

  • I think it's hilarious how O'Reilly doesn't understand why "left-wing" critics like Colbert's show more than his. XD

  • without morons there would be nobody for Colbert and Stewart to make fun of.

  • he fucked oreilly without really even arguing with him

  • Well Stephen doesn't even have to make fun of him. The dude just takes things way too seriously. Just by the way that he looks you can tell he's a dick.

  • Bill O'Reilly is a loud, blubbering vagina.

  • darn you O'Reilly, darn you to heck.

  • Generally speaking, yeah, the more money you make, the smarter you usually are.

Especially when the money is from a political show which has aired for YEARS.

You know, when it comes to politics you generally have to be some-what intelligent to be successful.

    Use your brain.

  • This theory is called 'Meritocracy'. "I make more money, so naturally I work harder and am just an all around better person than you." Strangely enough, it was from the elites that this theory came about.

  • @eaodak No no no. You seem to think merit means money. Think of merit as competence.

The elites never thought they were better because they made more money. They thought they were better because they had more skill which in turn made them the money.

But meritocracy is the opposite of what the elites prefer (aristocracy, plutocracy, nowadays representative democracy with sprinkles of nepotism and facism).

Try looking up words before using them.

  • CK3890: Do you understand what a 'Meritocracy' is?

No, Elites think they are better because they were not so stupid as to 'follow the rules' (ie the law) as the rest of us. So these sociopaths create a 'philosophy' (read: bullshit ideology) to explain it all. Aren't people versatile??

Are you a high school drop out? Do you have any education whatsoever? If so, try and use it....

  • Wow, you are so delusional it's funny. Just look up the god damn definition of the word.

"Elites think they're better because they didn't follow the law" This is the most retarded statement I've ever read, and is also not at all what you said the 'elites' really believe in your original comment.

Next time you want to insult me, try using actual arguments instead of trying to guess irrelevant details of my personal life as a means to distinguish your obviously non-existent credibility.

    Bitch.

  • No, you are quote clearly an uneducated dolt.

But I am sure you are the pride of your trailer park....

  • I am quote clearly an uneducated dolt. Wow.

Thank you for reaffirming everything I said in my comment by providing no explanation for why your definitions of meritocracy vary and instead choosing to once again, guess irrelevant details of my life.

Just think about this. Isn't it true that wealthy people have access to education that poor people cannot afford? Aren't you, by this argument, making yourself out to be an elite member of your idea of meritocracy?

  • I reaffirmed your comment? To whom? An Asshole such as yourself? Congrats I suppose, but isn't you're town now one Village Idiot less?

I care not where you obtained your 'definition', which incidentally you did not supply, nor your 'source'. Next time jackass, do the work before more shit spews from your mouth.

Isn't your fast food manager getting upset that you spend so much time Youtubing?

  • You reaffirmed my points to anyone who bothers to read them, obviously. Second, my definition was obtained when I read your comment and had a sneaking suspicion that you were talking out of your ass. A simple google of the word was all I needed to know how full of yourself you truly are.

And why would I cite my source if you don't cite yours? There you go again, making absurd guesses about my life.

But since it is so important for others to cite their sources to you, I'll do so.

  • "Think of merit as competence." I'm still to busy marveling at what an uneducated asshole you are... give me another moment.

  • From dictionary . com search engine

Merit - Noun - claim to respect and praise; excellence; WORTH

    - Noun - something that deserves or justifies reward or commendation

Now do you understand how merit and competence are very similar? Of course not, everyone is crazy and your views are the only correct views, and if anyone opposes, they're just an uneducated, trailer-trash fast food employee.

Have fun being unwilling to read others' opinions and basking in your smugness.

  • Ok, now I see the problem here.... You're not just an asshole, you can't read either.

'Merit' and 'Meritocracy' are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS you fucking dolt! Go back you stupid bastard and see what I wrote, or don't, it matters not.

Either way, your idiocy is clear now for all. Thank you for playing, now back to the trailer park with you!

  • Wow, you are retarded. No shit they're two different things, but that doesn't mean meritocracy isn't based on merits you dumbfuck.

And no shit it promotes individuals based on their ability to perform a prior assignment, IE. COMPETENCE lol. You are so dumb it's hilarious. You can't judge one's competence based on how you think they'll do in the future, you can only go by what they have already accomplished (merits).

If you don't see that you defeated your own arguments, I feel sorry for you.

  • Here's wiki Asshole...

The Peter principle, "In a Hierarchy Every Employee Tends to Rise to His Level of Incompetence" notes that meritocracy promotes individuals based on the ability to perform their prior assignment, not the new assignment.

  • From the real wiki: Meritocracy is a system of a government or other organization wherein appointments are made and responsibilities assigned to individuals based upon DEMONSTRATED talent and ability (merit).[1] In a meritocracy, society rewards (via wealth, position, and social status) those who show talent and COMPETENCE as demonstrated by PAST actions or by competition.

You very obviously did not wiki that, but good try! Next time, please, carefully read the argument before typing.

  • oh... let me quote a US senator, if memories serve: 'you do not have to be intelligent to be in the us senate hehe....'

he actually tried to be funny... he made an total ass of himself and you say they need to be some-what inteligent? nooo they do not x) they need book smarts, that is not the same as intelligent.

  • (might have been congress i really can't remember)

  • Tell that to Soulja Boy.

  • I like how much O'Reilly has to try to "get" Colbert by asking his teacher to get a random name pronounce change. O'Reilly is pretty dumb. I am amazed he has a show.

  • how is he dumb? I can tell you he is way more intelligent than you are...

Which is why he has had a show for years and makes more money in 1 year than you do in 5.

  • We all know that the more money you make, the smarter you are. That's always how it works. No exceptions. [/sarcasm]

    O'Reilly is an idiot.

  • For those last few seconds, O'Reilly seemed almost human. It creeped the fuck out of me.

  • "Your middle name is Tyrone. How could that possibly happen?"

    "Because I'm Irish, Bill."

  • i love that people are laughing in the background.

  • "What gives you the power, Bill, Jesus Christ, or Pat Robinson's protein shakes?"

    LMFAO that's amazing.

  • @HahaImCool05 Pat Robertson you idiot.

  • Bill's trying to be serious with the most unserious guy. Yeah... don't think that's working out too well for him.

    Haha, bears.

  • Stephen is amazing. How can he stay this serious while making such a mockery of O'Reilly.

  • its funny as hell that bill gets all pissed and serious yet stephen is all cool and un-serious....making fun of him

  • I just LOVE the fact that Bill's stage crew keeps laughing. It's stifled but undeniable!

  • You people who actually think Colbert's humor is meant by him to be as jagged and angry as you think it is aren't really smart wenough to understand him. He makes fun of the left and right in subtle ways and it's funny and smart, but his comedy doesn't have the hate that you kids do.

  • Wow, you people are so politically bias that it distorts your reality. So angry, too. Yeah, Colbert mocks him, but he also flatters him because the character is actually likable. OReilly knew what he was doing because he said Colbert owed him money. They both respected each other's territory and didn't push too hard and both actually played with each other a little. You folks are sad..seriously.

  • "I live in the world that spins so much, that im in the no-spin zone and its giving me vertigo"

    ROFL

  • No he is just playing along, obviously.

  • colbert owned o'reilly, and bill didn't even know it. bill's trying to rip on him for pronouncing his name without the t. He does that on purpose as a joke. How is o'reilly the only one in america that doesn't get that? It's actually unbelievable. It's like he's doing a caracature of someone trying to make fun of stephen. it's really unbelieveable that o'reilly is being serious.

  • Thats because he isn't being serious

  • no its because O'reilly is an idiot, regardless of whether or not he thinks the colberT thing is real and he needs that "everybody is copying me"-attitude to raise his self-respect!

  • did o'reilly call it the colbert repor"t"? What an idiot. The fact that he calls it that, means he doesn't get the joke. Of course he's steve colber"t". It's a joke moron. O'reilly is such an arrogant naive idiot. How does he not get that colbert is doing a "bit". It's a fucking joke that's making fun of the o'reilly factor but is more informative and funny at the same time. o'reilly's a douche.

  • He does know its a bit, you are the idiot who thinks he doesn't understand that a show that is on comedy central is a bit. It is just a publicity stunt.

  • "You know what I hate about the people who criticize you? They criticize what you say but never give you credit for how loud you say it." This is just pure brilliance.

  • A younger audience, people in their 50s and 60s. lol

  • colbert is one hell of a speaker. respect.

  • I agree. O' Reilly is out of his intellectual league. Because Colbert has a strong understanding of the human psche. He knows what to say and how to act in all situations. You know... I wanna see Colbert interview Ann Coulter! That would hilarious!

  • Coulter would win hands down!

  • I agree. O' Reilly is out of his intellectual league. Because Colbert has a strong understanding of the human psche. He knows what to say and how to act in all situations. You know... I wanna see Colbert interview Ann Coulter! That would hilarious!

  • "O' Reilly is out of his intellectual league"

He would be out of his league in a class of retarded pre-schoolers.

  • i catch the world in the headlights of my justice

he has to be an english major

  • Where's the Vid when Stephen is outside Parliment in the UK and keeps laughing? YouTube keep removing it - the Prince charles scandal?

  • o'reilly is just out of his intellectual league here.

  • I never ealized how much Colbert looks like Bob Saget

  • He looks like a much better version of Bob Saget.

  • Why was O'Reilly so placid? I've seen plenty of him, and he's usually bloviating his own points of view onto his guests, but he was just quiet and either trying to act intelligent or holding back laughter.

Rather dissapointing if you ask me, I hope Bill on Colbert Report will be better.

  • I love how the crew in the studio (O'Reilly's employees) are cracking up all through this...

  • Wow, that is all i can say.

Colbert is so much smarter then O'rilly and it shows

  • I think you're confusing funnier and wittier with smarter. Here's a big shock the comedian was funnier than the opinionated commentator. Let's not forget that this whole ruse was done so that both sides can grab a little press and exposure. They're both media whores again big surprise.

  • What's funny is that O'Reilly's audience doesn't "get" irony ... so one can only imagine what they'll take away from this. Well, never fear, Bill will tell them what to think about it, the next night. That's pretty much how his show works. "Open wide, baby bird: Papa's got a big fat nightcrawler of truthiness!"

  • How do you know what O' Reilly's audience gets or doesn't get? Not all of us are knuckle dragging mouth breathers. We also don't walk around mindlessly with a Borg like state of consciousness.

What surprised me is that Bill stayed with Colbert almost beat for beat. Colbert is pretty quick so I thought he might leave Bill in the dust.

Also most of what Bill says in this instance is done with tongue firmly in cheek.

  • Bill shouldn't do tongue-in-cheek... he doesn't know how to pull it off.

  • Agreed, definitely not his strong suit. Still he's shrewd enough to know a ratings grabber. Colbert had the tougher job of trying to get in jabs while appearing like they're one in the same. In the end they both win.

  • very true.
