here in Canada where people are civilized, if I build something without a permit (ie. Break a bylaw) I receive a notice to remove it, I get taken to court, I have an opportunity to challenge the claim etc. The marines don't just show up at my doorstep and tear it down while going Rambo on me and my friends.

The army already surrounds the remains of the destroyed church in Atfeeh and starts to rebuild it. If the army randomly destroys churchs they would not rebuild the atfeeh church.

The priests did similar assaults on state lands in Abu Fana Monastery events. They carried their weapons against neighboring peasants & took their lands by force. The monastery of St. Bishoy has been around since the 4th century, the wall, which they tore down since the 5th century. It has been owned by the Coptic Orthodox Church for well over six hundred years. The army had no cause, nor rights to attack a monastery that was well within its means to function.

Break a bylaw) I receive a notice to remove it, I get taken to court, I have an opportunity to challenge the claim etc. The marines don't just show up at my doorstep and tear it down while going Rambo on me and my friends.

@ssandoss تعليقك لا يناسب الحالة خاصة و أن ذلك السور تم بنائه علي أرض مملوكة للدولة و هو مخالف قانونا و الغرض منه الإستيلاء بدون وجه حق على ما هو غير مملوك للكنيسة و أن كان ذلك التصرف متوقع من رجال الاعمال الفاسدين و ضعاف النفوس فهو غير متوقع من رجال الكنيسة الذي أشتهر عنهم إحترام القانون و الحرص على مصالح الوطن
