Amazing sounding for a live version indeed! and you've definitely taken good care of this Vinyl copy. Thanks for sending me the message to come check it out, and of course favourite it as well. ;-)
I think I have! I think this was in the movie the Hunger! The beginging anyway! I never saw the movie just the beginging here on youtube. But I did love this version much better!
Thanks for posting this! They really do sound great here. This is such a classic song, a huge personal favorite of mine. I continually resist those abroad in the land who'd like to pin a big "cliche" label on it. Just because it's been used in all of these film & TV scores, that doesn't mean it has lost its edge. There's nothing cliche about greatness, not ever. That being said, I'm looking for another song to use for my up-coming Bela Lugosi vid, only because this would be too obvious a choice.
My pleasure! But the term "Goth" had hardly started when this came out. People would refer to something as "gothic", but "Goth" with a big "G" didn't really get going until a year or so later, about the same time as the clothes fashion. And yes, the "labelling" is very tiresome.
I'm not sure what you could try. The Damned went pretty gothic for a while, same as Siouxsie and the Banshees. Or Sisters Of Mercy, and even Joy Division maybe ?

As I said somewhere, I don't usually like long songs, but I do make the odd exception.
I'm more of a Ramones 1-2-3-4 in one minute 25 seconds person !

Ahhh I adore this song by Bauhaus as well as "She's In Parties."
I have to admit that I fell in love with this song because of that Bowie ( love Bowie! ) vampire film The Hunger.

But for f*cks sake not Marilyn f*cking Manson!

BAH! MANSON! He took something original and popularized it
and just watered Goth down. Goth used to be about the music, now its just thought of as a "dress to scare" sort of deal

Sounds pretty good! Nice to see you posting music that actually takes time to warm up and become a song! Anyway, good song 5 stars all the way!

puhh...what a long and strange trip...actually not exactly my taste but interesting

"What a long and strange trip" - You've hit the nail on the head ! I don't know if you have that expression in German?
Normally I can't stand long records, but there's an exception to most things in life.
