Something I just found out. Usually the Loners are the best singers. For Example, Matt. He's a loner, and he sings so good, better than Mimi. Then now there's Rika. She in fact has the most beautiful song I've ever heard in Digimon.
@jrapcdaikari Mimi sings beautifully in the original version. There's pretty much 3 singers for Digimon theme songs in japanese Wada Kouji, Miyazaki Ayumi and Ai Maeda (AiM) aka Mimi's voice actress. But someone thought it was a good idea to make her sound terrible in the dub.
@jrapcdaikari Challenge: Mimi's voice is much more exuberant than Matt's. Still, you could probably attribute your loner argument to the characters feeling a sense of disconnect from everyone else. Song has a tendency to evoke a lot of emotion when it's tinged with a hint of sorrow or isolation.
This is beautiful, I love both versions of the song. And this is the best series of Digimon hands down. I have a great idea for how they could have a second season with these same characters in it, but the creators would probably never listen.
@bftjosh You know what? Digimon Tamers is my favorite of the Digimon series, but both the ending to the series and this movie leave me wanting more. In some cases thats good, but this just leaves me feeling empty inside. GIVE US MORE DAMMIT!!!!
@OtherGuysss I definitely agree with you. Tamers was way too good, I wanted more expansion on the characters. I wish they'd bring back the same characters in a new Digimon series, anything really to bring this season back, but it's not happening anytime soon. Just having a movie about a runaway train being the end of this series is disappointing

@kazooga1234 As I've said countless times before on this subject, it would make no sense for them to say that he just divorced given the fact that we clearly see death in the series. We know for a fact that Jeri's mom died as they have said so. We see Leomon get a claw through the stomach and die. It would make absolutely no sense for them to say a random, insignificant person we never see is divorced instead of dead considering the other things shown in the series.

No digimon ever turned into a digiegg in Tamers/season 3. there is literally no reason to show death and then change an off screen, never even mentioned before character to be gone due to divorce. Until someone can prove with undeniable evidence that her dad died, he didn't and all they did was get a divorce in BOTH versions.

@kazooga1234 You also apparently don't know what a divorce entails. If a judge rules that a parent cannot visit their child or have any contact with them, then they can't. A parent can love their child with all their heart but if they feel that they cannot cope with the inability to see them everyday and whenever they want, they won't even opt to have visitation rights. i do no what a divorce entails and it isnt by judges usually and if the judge found any of the parents unfit it would have been rikas mom caz she is to busy and also if the children want to c a parent then the judge has to put some tought behind it as well u cant just keep a parent from seeing a child unless they did something horrible and yes most of the time the mother gets more custody of the child then the father but with rikas strong attitude she wouldnt let a court order stand in her way

If a parent opts out of having custody of a child BECAUSE they want full custody or nothing at all, the other parent gets the child. You're both forgetting something important: divorce doesn't work in Japan the way it does in America. Technically, you're both wrong (but Moneylikesme was on the right track). Rika's dad is alive in the Japanese AND English versions. In Japan, kids of divorce very rarely get to see both of their parents. One parent gets custody, but the other parent usually does not get any visitation at all: this is the case with Rika. TK and Matt from season 1 were actually lucky.

So true. I'm not fond of Digimon dubs, due to cutting, bad jokes during serious scenes, added unneeded dialog, name changes, and over-all bad choices for actors, but I actually like Rika's voice. It suits the character well, and she sounds pretty good when singing, too. XD
True that! Melissa Fahn ruled this English dub! After all she had experience in stage performance before voice acting. After hearing this song for the first time, I compared her to Alicia Morton (1997's Annie remake), they have the same tempo.

@Moneylikesme i forgot that beelzemon absorbed the data but he also released it i think when he went to the good side and if not when beelzemon gets turned into a digiegg himself then the data is released from him and leomon becomes a digiegg again and it shows u didnt watch the japanesse version then caz rekas dad did die in the orignal if u want me to find the original ep i will

@kazooga1234 You clearly can't comprehend what's right in front of you. No. He did not release any data. Once they absorb the data it is forever theirs. There were digieggs EVER in Tamers, with the one exception of Guilmon in the first episode. After that, there were no Digieggs. And yes I have seen the Japanese version. Those subs also said divorced. Again, you have no undeniable proof. I have given some but you have not.

@Moneylikesme heres a question if rikas parents got divoriced do u really think that she wouldnt do whatever it took to be with her father weather it was call him every single day or even do what it takes to live with him i mean her mom is never around so the likelyhood of her staying with her mom is super unlikely when it seems just from this clip/song that her father adored her more then anything he wouldnt just leave without visitation rights

@kazooga1234 You also apparently don't know what a divorce entails. If a judge rules that a parent cannot visit their child or have any contact with them, then they can't. A parent can love their child with all their heart but if they feel that they cannot cope with the inability to see them everyday and whenever they want, they won't even opt to have visitation rights. You're reading too much into something you know nothing about.

i do no what a divorce entails and it isnt by judges usually and if the judge found any of the parents unfit it would have been rikas mom caz she is to busy and also if the children want to c a parent then the judge has to put some tought behind it as well u cant just keep a parent from seeing a child unless they did something horrible and yes most of the time the mother gets more custody of the child then the father but with rikas strong attitude she wouldnt let a court order stand in her way

She has a well paying job to support Rika, a house for her to live in, and a family member living with her as well to take care of Rika when need be. Rika's father doesn't. If a parent does not have the means to take care of a child, They can't have custody. If her father leaves because he's been ordered to then he is gone. Attitude can not change that. You're believing in things with no proof just to please your delusional mind.

We do not know Rika would have done that. Why? Because we don't know the extent of which Rika truly loved her father. Her father was not a part of the story. Her father was not ever meant to be a plot point. The movie is NOT part of the story. It's NON-CANON. FILLER. NO CONNECTION.

@kazooga1234 You are failing to make any sense here. If a parent does not have the means to take care of the daughter, then full custody is given to the other. If a parent opts out of having custody of a child BECAUSE they want full custody or nothing at all, the other parent gets the child. Rika's father not being around has nothing to do with the way she acts. The creator has said so him self. So....you're failing at proving your point.

That is a father following the law for what is best for his loved ones. Just because you think it's better that he died than the logical divorce route, doesn't mean it's right. You have still yet to give any sort of proof that he died. I have proven my point in the fact that it was divorce.

You're both forgetting something important: divorce doesn't work in Japan the way it does in America. Technically, you're both wrong (but Moneylikesme was on the right track). Rika's dad is alive in the Japanese AND English versions. In Japan, kids of divorce very rarely get to see both of their parents. One parent gets custody, but the other parent usually does not get any visitation at all: this is the case with Rika. TK and Matt from season 1 were actually lucky.

It wouldn't have mattered anyway. kazooga1234 would have ignored that as evident by her ignorance in the messages she sent me. But yes that is indeed correct.

So true. I'm not fond of Digimon dubs, due to cutting, bad jokes during serious scenes, added unneeded dialog, name changes, and over-all bad choices for actors, but I actually like Rika's voice. It suits the character well, and she sounds pretty good when singing, too. XD

True that! Melissa Fahn ruled this English dub! After all she had experience in stage performance before voice acting. After hearing this song for the first time, I compared her to Alicia Morton (1997's Annie remake), they have the same tempo.
