@weseyedwalk no not for hunting i've know people who said you couldn't pay them to use an omen hunting look at earnhart sp? jr. he was in an ad. one time and i never saw him use one on a hunting vid.
@weseyedwalk it's accurate, it's not a bad bow really, it's a harsh draw which creates more movement, but there's allot of good points to it. id get it at 60lbs though. it stores up so much energy on the draw that 70/80 means lost arrows ebcause you'll bury them. mathews, pse, bowtech will all explode if mishandled and hoyts won't. I could see hunting with it if I was in a corn field or prarie but I'm in the woods and speed doesn't mean shit there.
@weseyedwalk yea, monsters are nice and easy to tune, hoyts are a little harder to tune but are soo much smoother then any of the bowtech's or mathews. Even the alphaburner I just ripped it apart and put new limbs cams strings and tuned it with my first qad full install on it. Went real easy suprisingly. there's so many good bows out there. my monster's risers got shot out and kept tuning further and further in it got ridiculous with my xlr8 so I had to dump it.
No we care less about you're cheep targets. Bag targets are great. We can't understand how you say that is a great bow. It is loud, rough hard draw. With a huge hump. You can't creep with it. It has none. Hard to hold it back, it nearly ripped you're arms off. You was shaking like you had 300 pound bar bells in you're hands. and you traded it for a Mathews, which a Hoyt CRX which is rated at IBO 323. Shoots faster then the Mathews you traded for, has IBO of like 7-10 fps more. Then a Hoyt CRX.
@ArcheryHolic nobody cares, look at the views on my judge video. Sure I like that bow alright but nobody cares, it's sad. Get some sweet video out there with your pulse I'll thumbs up it. Don't talk trash about the omen though because I'm pretty sure it's at the top of the heap now
I think it is so funny when people try to shoot their bows with IBO specs especially one this fast. I wonder if they realize it is practically like dry firing their bow? Enjoy screwing up your bows. If you think I don't know what I am talking about, ask any archery shop that has people who know what they are talking about.
what good does it do you in a hunting bow when you have to snap the thing back over the obvious enourmous hump that bow has, id take the firecat 400 at 335 fps over that bow any day
@Wchris09 i didn't end up hunting with this bow, I had to opportunity to trade it for a monster 7 which treated me real well during hunting season. Congrats on not being a speed freak.
Wish mine was getting that kind of speed. My Omen is shooting around 320FPS. It's set at 68lbs w/ 30in draw. I am shooting Carbon Express Maxima Hunters 350 arrows. Has a peep and d loop on it.
@msyoak72 when it was tuned with the peep it was doing close to IBO @ 358 or so but the draw length is exact on this whereas the monster xlr8 is .4in long on mine. the only way to tell is to make a 340grain arrow for yours which is hard to do at 30inches. rip the peep off and check the timing. If your shooting that arrow I'd believe it to be around 110grains heavier atleast then what I was shooting atleast.
she's 355 at 73 with the 365gr with the peep and loop, which depending on who you ask is between 5-8fps putting me at 360 or above. IBO's are done with nothing on the string.
sorry the cams were out of time, not a huge difference it was 3fps with the heavy arrows now I'm a clean 292 or 293 fps with the heavies 1ft lb different and it'd be everything with the arrows to put it to the 357fps even with the loop and peep. Let me know what you want to see! I can do a monster vs omen and I just got a roscoby and wow shooting with that is a form teacher.
there was a guy at the local shop the otherday had one of these i dont know the arrow weight but he was shootin 362 at 64lb draw weight it was smokin fast compared to my reezen and the bow wasn't really that loud either
this chrono reads slow rather then faster numbers as I've seen posted on archerytalk and here. The prochrono is notorious in my head for throwing out unbelievably fast numbers. The only thing I can say is I've ran about 12 bows atleast through the same chrono so to go off of comparrison within my vids shows truth. If I do a chrono on this with an omen and somebody does a monster or anything really on a different chrono it's not really a comparison.
your welcome bro, I think every bow should have a video like this. I was checking out these destroyers at 29in and their "birth info" 350gr arrow shot out of 71 and 72lb destroyers ranging from 318 fps to 331 fps... from a 29in draw. Now that's deception.
did you honestly think your bow was 450fps? with 5grain per pound arrows? If you shot a 200gr arrow then it might be that high. I chrono'd with 2 arrows then adjusted poundage and chrono'd again and did the ft lbs. your saying your bow is 183ft lbs with an inch shorter draw and 6 more pounds. Your omen isn't more poweful then the tac 15 crossbow. But your stating that is is.

@jordyd19 Why? is it too hard to control or something? Too unforgiving? what is the reason?

@jordyd19 thanks I was thinking about getting a Matthews monster, or a Bowtech Admiral, Hoyts are nice to. It's kind of a tough choice for me.

@bluegrasssingingman it's a speed bow and it's a 2010 this years omen is differnt

That bow is loud, bad hump in draw. You had a heck of a time hold it back. Deer aren't blind and deaf. Shoot a real bow, Get Serious Get Hoyt.

you should do more target or 3d practice before you shoot at animals!!!
this is not only a toture for the pigs - it`s a torture for any serious bowhunter, too..

if you want a bow who shoot fast, quiet, easy to draw and accurate go with the Elite Pulse.
I'm getting 307fps with a 70# @ 28.5 and a Victory VAP 300 @449grn with penetrator insert
