  • Tyco trains are fun, I have mine for over 30 years and they work great just like your set. Glad to see you enjoying your trains!!!! Are they perfect..no.. but who cares? They are just fun to use! I have all the lighted houses and accessories. They all work like new.

  • Kurt, have you and the kids do more work on the layout since this video was made?

  • This is a nice set up, Kurt. Do not let anyone rain on your parade either & it is also nice to see the kids enjoy the trains for that is what it is about. Take Care.

  • Asdelan....I have run Tyco engines on my layout for over 30 years. Several of my engines have enough miles on them that they could have gone to the moon and back. Oil and clean them and they do fine. Kurt...your kids are adorable and they seem to love the train set!

  • I think I will search the Ebay and see if I can find some of these things. Who else makes HO scale trains?

  • Bachmann, Trix, Marklin, the list goes ON

  • You probably have 20 because they are worthless, you can buy one for ten bucks. Their power pickups are completly unreliable, the truck design is awful especially on the powered one. Basicly they are designed for exactly the thing in this video, to be enjoyed for a few hours, then forgotten.

  • we played with our Tyco trains for years! What are you like?

  • That guy is likely frustrated with some problems he his with remote controlled airplanes, or he lost his latest game of Guitar Hero, and he's taking it out on a good person like Kurt. What a waste of 'net space he is.

  • @asdelan I have some Tyco engines that are well over 30 years old and they run great!

  • @K9FON same here i got mine from my step dad

  • Contrary to what asdelan said,

Tyco engines will last forever if properly oiled, and cared for.

I have about 20 Tyco engines and have had no problems at all.

  • Did you know those things are designed to last for only 40 hours, tycos are known for one thing unreliability.

  • I can hardly believe someone would come on this video just blow about Tyco's unreliabilty. As a kid I put 40 hours a week on my Tyco engines...

Enjoy your Tyco train Kurt & kids!! Nice video!

  • @asdelan I have a Tyco train that's 40 years old and still running. All I did was oil it and keep it clean of lint and dust.
