It's a "mild hybrid" that does nothing more than shut the engine off at stoplights, which is basically a worthless $2000 option because anyone with an ignition key(and preferably a voltmeter)can do the same thing. The extra gas injected on startup and the load on the alternator equals about 10 seconds of idling, which is basically the same as this vehicle when you idle long enough to actually affect your mileage. GM *is* selling actual hybrids(50 grand SUVs only), but this car is pure greenwash.

Every little bit helps when gas is $4+ a gallon. Plus, it helps mainly in city driving, not highway driving.

My dad bought a Camry Hybrid, & it gets 31.5 mpg; but the car is a little weak...about 30 percent of the time; other times it's okay.

what is the point of chevy hybrid? it sucks. toyota prius gets like 60mpg, honda civic 50?, ford escape (suv) 34mpg in town and is actually rated as quick as the v6 gas model.
