WOW dude truly awesome i got some christmas money i might pick this up i play eve online whats it like compared to that and is it like an RPG with some RTS elements cuz it was listed as strategy where i buy my games. 5 stars and if anyone could answer my questions thanks!
adding onto this comment is this a good choice to start off getting into the series with or should i go with the older one or that one that just came out or is this good?
X3 is one of the best games I've ever played. Once you get around with all the ins and outs of the gameplay, a world of endless possibilities unfolds before you. Though it will take time and patience, you can spread your hand across the entire Universe - whether you want to dominate the markets by massive trading operations, or you want to fight and destroy every enemy in your path, or you want to pillage and prey on the innocent, or you're simply jaywalking through the vastness of space.
Absolutely anything you want. You want to be a trader, hop in a TS/TP and start hauling wares. You want to sprint along, jump in a scout ship and swoop along stations. You want to fight, jump in a M3 or an M6 and fire your lasers. You like everything to be big and mean, take a seat at the helm of a carrier or destroyer, then unleash a storm of fire upon your enemies or just plow into them like they're tiny insects(bring spare windshield wipers). It's a fun game to play. Best with a joystick.
I was a big EVE Online player and an even bigger Discovery: Reunion (mmorpg mod for Freelancer) player just a few months back. Oh, and I also created something called "Space RP" for BF2 Sandbox Mod because I love space rpgs so much.
I don't understand why people have troubles with the autopilot. Maybe it's a problem in the US distribution copy, because I got the DeepSilver distributed version, and I have no problems using autopilot. Close calls, but no crashes.
Oh, okay. And I did notice a rare occasion when autopilot DOES make you crash. When it lines you up with the docking lights, and the lights are near an asteroid. It takes you further away from the station, and you'll hit it... lol.
It's not hard to dock manually, lol. It's more fun, too, :D. I hate autopilot docking, because it always goes for the end of the docking lights... Just speed in and drop the acceleration, :D.
don't you wish that you had to be a little bit more "professional" when you dock? i mean i'm usually pretty far when i jump to the docking station. i wish i could do it until just before the boom drops over you
Even better, we follow the guiding light in, and have to manually park it, and engage docking locks, :). Oh, and there's a glitch sometimes where you can approach the docking bay doors really slowly (from memory, 3-10?), and you can get inside the dock, :P. Running dock from there is quick, :)

Christmas money? You could just find some change hiding under the couch and buy this game. It's dirt cheap and well worth the purchase.
Still looks good, and it'll last you awhile. Not the missions, but the free roaming abilities.

1:09 - 1:17... did you try to dock that thing manually?!
Gorzakk 4 years ago
its not hard at all, you get a green marker
JamaicanMan18 4 years ago
there weren't any landing lights, or a marker for that matter. perhaps he doesn't know how to dock manually?
tornadosniper 4 years ago
he probably knows but didnt want to ruin his video...
