@hermesgaeta you should, i figure visiting as a tourist would be much more fun than actually living here. i live here and for me it's just normal. nothing amazing for me. but if i was a tourist i'm sure i'd love it. i just wish this city wasn't so liberal about everything, but whatever.
@GingerTheCarrotTop humid in sf? noooo but you better come out here and visit first. Tourists are easily fooled by the postcards. This place is FUGLY and I am ACTIVELY trying to move. You can have it... old ugly dilapidated buildings... depressing cold foggy weather? no thanks!!!
@queenimayya probably the best city (with DC) for amazing and thrilling things you can do for free and low-cost: GG Park, Mission burritos, great Vietnamese and Chinese food for under $4, free museums, transit and walking gets you around everywhere withou gas or parking fees...yeah, you can have a great time for a lot of $, too
I just spent 3 nights in San Francisco and I did not like it. Too much drug addicts and gang bangers. People who praise this city are not awere of it. One block wrong and you're robbed! Fuck SF, I'm never going back!
It's a shame that San Fransisco has been taken over by the radical, left wing, liberal, shitbags that want to see America go down the fucking toilet !!! Why is it that so many normal, TRUE, decent Americans would love to visit and vacation in San Fransisco and enjoy the city, but WON'T becauce of shitbag, lowlife, anti-American scum that infest there ?!!! Dosen't take much of a genius to figure that out !!! Same goes for other major cities in California !!!!!! Liberals SUCK !!!!
You spelled San Francisco wrong. And frankly San Francisco is a great city. You shouldn't let your prejudices stop you from visiting it. And the main thing that makes it great is the people living there. By the way, I'm from the Los Angeles area, not San Francisco so I'm not biased in that respect.
What are you talking about? All the things you hate are the things that make San Francisco the truly great and wonderful city it is. There are enough places for small-minded, homophobic assholes already. I suggest you stay home - and never go out.
they say SF is the fourth... but the whole bay area (really sf... cause its the size of la so you gotta put it in perspective... is the 8th largest in the USA
l live now in switzerland and for the future i will either go to miami, los angeles or san francisco live there. what would your decision? but my biggest dream is work in hollywood....
i bet my ass i break out of switzerland and go to usa i don't know where exactly if its new york or l.a i dunno but one thing is sure one time u will see me in the usa muahahahhah xD
I notice that SF and Seattle are somewhat similar.they both sit on a hill and have hills packed with homes and condos around them.Seattle and SF are awesome.
It's very expensive and the gay scene is pretty large, but its not like its that obvious, its just like any other city. Anyway, San Francisco is probably the best place i've been to. the scenic veiws are awesome and same with the restaurants and things to do. It sounds cliche, but it has a very distinctive feel from any east coast city. people are also very smart there. the Bay Area rocks
haha, yeah your right Gay isnt the problem, i was exagerating there, thats part of what I like about this City, the LIBERAL feel, well at least from what I felt when I visited this Xmas
Well, my trip about San Francisco is the whole concrete jungle safari thing. Never boring. I don't subscribe to the "LIBERAL" thing or any socio-political angle. Personally, I think it can be a bit too liberal at times. But, I wouldn't trade my experiences there. Just too fascinating a place.
Yea, the architecture and History of that City, and just all the food mixes and all, I really find SF to be where I want to stay for some of my life, its a city I could really get used to. But something else is that i've been doing some research on the city and i didnt find a true source of Crime, when you went did you feel it was a dangerouse city?
You know, you hear stuff, like the Vietnamese dude getting shot from a rival by a restaurant in a good part of town (19th and Irving) and thing like that n the news. But, I live an hour away and spend several days a month there and my main gripe is the dangerous drivers. Taxi's, buses, and the rest. The other thing I should say is that there are some rather swarmy areas that you wouldn't see me in really close to very nice neighborhoods. But, I have been just a regular visitor, since the 70's.
The city is beautiful, but insidous at times. If you don't go looking for trouble, then trouble won't find you. The SF Bay is infamous for its drug culture so steer clear from hard drugs! Many have come to San Francisco and have never left for that reason alone. Berkeley is very nice though if you decide to stay there and take the BART to the city whenever you wish to visit and not have to deal with the pandemonium that goes on in that city...
@Tyler83Mr Well, I live in Norway, and I want to take my 3rd year (bachelor) in San Fran, because it seems like fun. Not because "oh poor me I live in Norway" :p One thing that is important to remember is that Norway has only 4,5 million people in total, which means we want to perhaps experience a vibrant city ;)
@fleshnbone187 so easy to say that when you haven't seen the REAL sf..all you've seen is the chamber of commerce crap
oh and btw lombard street is NOT the most crooked street ... I'll let you figure this one out on your own,.,,it's in sf but NOT lombard...HA all the tourists have been fooled
@musclenigga09 i live in sf and i thought is was lombard. if not lombard, i bet it goes through castro, because it definitely can't be straight. lol get it?
@TolikRyumin I know there are people that have i way bader the i do, i dont have it bad at all really, people in Norway dont even realise how lucky they are, and they complain about anything
@nistafista You might be better offthere because they didnt tell you the bad side of living. But to tell you the truth with enough money i would be away already.
San Francisco does not have the largest gay populous anymore I beieve. New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles I believe have now have larger gay populations.
lol does she? I'm completely straight but everybody thinks i'm gay for some reason lol. dik why but i love SF and hope to go to sfsu in a couple years. maybe ill fit in lol jk
I love San Francisco...absolutely beautiful city. The weather was PERFECT when we were there. It never gets too hot or too cold. I think anywhere along the coast from San Francisco to San Diego has some of the best weather in the world.
It's too damn hot in the Fall! Spring the best time weatherwise, when it's very mild and pleasant with some interesting but not extreme variability. We also have microclimates. So if you don't like the weather, walk a few blocks. If you love fog (like I do), come in the Summer and hang out with me in the Sunset District. But watch out; in the Summer you'll be part of a vast swarm of other tourists and you'll be pressured to do sub-par touristy things. But it's still a great time to be here.
Some of the neighborhoods with the least fog are Downtown, The Mission, Potrero Hill, and Bayview. In the most general terms, the eastern half of the City tends to get less fog than the western half.
All white Californians should really consider leaving the two party system, and join the ANPs Golden State party. It's the only party that won't say one thing and do another. The Democrat and Republican party have been murdering our nation.

@FlamingLavaOwl That's not what I figured at all. Cities with gay flags are obviously more liberal than cities that don't.

Well, how gay is too gay? Do you have a fruit per square mile threshold?
Expensive? Why, yes, it is. As an example, gas is about 40 cents more per gallon than neighboring areas and rent is off-the-charts.
