  • Now i have to scroll through all comments to find what jazzology1 wrote

  • Within only the first few minutes, indeed, I feel the mental increase necessary to even solve the issue of world hunger, and the bickering world leaders. These repeating notes shall solve all of life's problems with one simple listen.

  • why does it end like that?

  • anyone who likes this version needs to listen to vincent corver & the london steve reich ensemble's version of Six Pianos called Piano Counterpoint. It's absolutely brilliant and has such a swinging 2/2 feel to it.

  • subliem!

  • かっこいい かっこいい・・・

  • First five seconds and I'm already sucked in.

  • Wtf? I thought this sounded a bit rushed. It's been sped up - its supposed to be 24 minutes!

  • @30noir It´s not the whole composition...

  • @dracainbloodly So why is it faster? I listened to it on CD just the other day.

  • @30noir it still sounds good. i can't imagine this being slower, i think that would sound a bit off

  • @ishouldplayzelda To you, no doubt - to me the faster version sounds wrong. Maybe it depends on which version you first hear.

  • かっこよかったです‼

  • If I want to hear hypnotic music I listen to Ravel's Bolero much more going on there

  • @jazzology1 Narrow minded

  • @jazzology1 yes you are far superior for liking traditional classical music over this more modern minimalist nonsense, well done sir.

  • @jazzology1 Whoooa, I thought we'd come to a consensus that Bolero is the worst thing Ravel wrote?

  • @jazzology1 Are you kidding? Bolero is the absolute worst piece Ravel ever wrote. In fact, it's just an all around artistically worthless piece. And it's definitely not hypnotizing.

  • @saladshootavvv AGREED COMPLETELY BOLERO SUCKS AND HES WRITTEN SO MUCH BETTER SHIT THAT NEVER GETS PLAYED

  • @jazzology1 gee, you must be a great jazzologist, if that's an example of your thinking about music.

  • @jazzology1 please jump into a fire. thanks.

  • Why do many musicians have the preconceptions that rhythmic music must be played staccato? With reich's music, it's not a dash, and it's not a dot. But it's closer to a dot. This recording is still original tho.

  • @amistrymister it's more of a precautionary measure to make sure all the note lengths are consistent, but i admit it doesn't work with stuff like piano phase

  • this is so staccato i can't comprehend it

  • @amistrymister I really think this and the brilliant dynamics make this the best version of 6 pianos I have heard!

  • This is so beautiful!!! It make's me happy when i'm sad.

  • Perfect video to complement this sonar landscape.

  • interesting performance and recording it makes it even more hypnotic than usual :) thanks for posting

  • Simply awsome!!

Those cords, beautifull sound, I dreamed away.

I've played Reich in the past, great composer of this minimal music.

    Thanks for posting!
