It's great to see that Serena can come out, after months out of the game, and win through to the Semi's of a Premier event. It really shows such a great mental contrast between Serena and Safina, with Safina spending almost the same time away, and failing to make any impact at Rome or Stuttgart.

@KFactor93 -- I'm a Serena Fan To The Core, But I Must Defend Safina This Once. Theire results isn't a question of Mental Capability, Serena is coming back from an Injured/Sore Knee, Safina's back injury was far more worse than Serena's knee. From Serena's results at Austrailia, you know she could still get around pretty good, Safina couldn't finish her last match there..

So not seeing good results from Safina right off is expected sorta.

@topnu662 Yes I must agree, but you would assume that Safina would at least take some confidence in Playing on her favourite surface, whereas clay is Serena's least favourite surface. Dinara's back issues were most probably caused by her overloaded schedule.

too bad venus lost to jelena, but jelena is good on clay and venus wasnt playign tennis the last month so she can still improve for the french open, now that she has more time for her knees to rest.
