  • That was truly amazing when the two Steves passed in front of the two Eydies, This was very inventive for 1967 television and a great use of Chromakey.

  • My Grandma would babysit when my folks went out Saturday night and it was Hollywood Palace time.

  • And that was the one and only Paul Frees doing the Goodyear spot.

  • Two of my favorite and influential entertainers... No one sings this way anymore...

  • How refreshing to see singers who appear on stage fully dressed; one is able to concentrate on the song and entertainment value. Best Wishes to ALL.

  • Just wonderful. I love the look on Steve's face as slowly turns to face the audience.

  • I love them both! Their voices are amazing, they are show biz at its best, classy, perfect!

  • Fantastic!!

  • Hmmmm pre recorded! I do love them but its not live!

  • Steve Lawrence é sempre um prazer ve-lo e ouvi-lo. Tive o prazer de ouvir um cd do Sr. simplesmente maravilhoso " STEVE LAWRENCE BY SING SINATRA ". ROBERTO SAN/RJ.BRASIL

  • Subtle joke there about the other couple when they join themselves onstage - calling the other guys Gordon & Sheila. Reference to another showbiz couple, Gordon & Sheila MacRae. Thanks for the post! Great to see an early stab at multiple-pass chroma-key layering.

  • Love this !

  • Great music but Eydie was a yound lady back then so the dress and hair was too mature for a young girl!

  • @grenadian11 She was 36 years old and completely in the style of the day!

  • @grenadian11 Eydie was in her early 30s at the time, plus that style of dress & hair was very popular in that era.

  • Imagine the so called Talent today, putting together a Variety Show??? The entertainers of those day's could, sing, dance, do comedy, and carry a show by themselfs. Those shows are what Talent used to be!!!

  • I'm so glad that I lived thru this era when the Hollywood Palace was on TV when I was a kid. We all use to watch it on saturday Nights with our Parents. Steve & Eydie are the Greatest.

  • why was this pre-recorded?
