  • I'm still trying to figure out if The Grid will be able to top this show.

  • @1Ireallydonotcare I think The Grid will easily top this show by the time state rolls around. The music and marching is on a higher level and the guard is looking awesome.

  • @SaxyStar I agree. The guard was MUCH improved this past year.

  • Fantastic Nation Ford Marching Band!! I am in the Fort Mill Marching Band and who ever that tozer kid is don't listen to him obviously he is being a sore loser none of us were like that when you all won I mean yes we were crying and upset but we were all proud of you and realize what we did wrong and what ya'll did better yes this was a year ago and we are already done with band camp but i was just watching over all of this and just thought our band isnt like that tozer kid you guys deserved it

  • I see no bari saxes. UNCOOL. I'm doing this show on my bari. BARI SAX POWER!

  • Where are you guys from? You guys are gods!

  • @drummerguy1231 Fort Mill, SC

  • @drummerguy1231 We're from Fort Mill, South Carolina. Our first year was '07.

  • I had NaFo's band director for a week at band camp and had an absolute blast working with him and after seeing this I'd love to work with him on a daily basis!

  • Nice Job. What an upcoming season you guys have:

    1. Macy's parade

    2. Western Carolina University Marching Competition

    3. Bands of America Grand Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana

Nice job. And enjoy all the traveling you will do in the Fall

  • Great sound, great show. I saw this performance, but didn't remember the whiny noise that I kept hearing as I played this video - then I realized it was just somebody posting crybaby outbursts in the comments. A shame - FM has always been classy, pity that one of their own makes them look bad. Still - you EARNED the blue - congratulations! Good luck next year!

  • Did you guys change guard instructors?

  • Fantastic drum line.

  • WOW!!!!! you guys are sooo good and clean ur guys sound is sooo amazing and loud and it sounds really good..... i like this show sooo much and i wish my band can do it next year.... wats the composers name???? and nation ford high school good job and u guys should check our videos of fast track we are from California. the video is called Carlsbad High School Marching Lancers - Fast Track - Vista Invitational Field Tournament.wmv.... u guys should check it out

  • I am actually a part of the band, and at the state competition, my parents overheard a fort mill parent mom yelling and cussing and all, but my parents were like congratulations, and the lady was like watever screw you. we didnt win, but my parents still said , "but still, congratulations". the lady said both bands hated each other... COMPLETE and UNBELIEVABLE lie. in case you didnt notice, we basically ran into each other when they gave the awards. we were hugging and everything.

  • That old guy right in front of you must be using Rogaine

  • First video I have watched of a SC band, and I am very impressed with it. Nice work!

  • Love this one! Espeacially from the front. And BC is in the background :D yay for distracting white blobs! xD

  • Please disregard all the negative comments directed towards Nation Ford and its marching band.

The person who is posting all the hateful comments is obviously immature and in no way represents Fort Mill or the Fort Mill Marching Band.

Nation Ford and Fort Mill both had amazing shows and executed them wonderfully.

Both bands worked extremely hard this season and the hard work definitely paid off!

My apologies again for this rude behavior,

Respectful Fort Mill Marching Band Senior.

  • @dumblonde1993 That is a totally mature and classy statement. I as a NAFO parent am so proud of both bands. I am able to listen to youtube performances at work and often tune into the FMHS show, it grows on you and the middle section is haunting and beautiful. This head to head competing brings out the absolute best in both bands, if we were still one school Wando, Boiling Springs etc would only be fighting for second place. Best of luck in your future endeavours and congratulations again.

  • Thanks for the upload, Marcus!

    This was an amazing performance.

  • @nomonj06 I NEVER said that the reason they won is because they have staff on SCBDA. So to save yourself from looking foolish, you may want to make sure you quote me correctly. And for the record, Nation Ford couldnt even make SEMI-FINALS in 2009 at BoA Grand Nationals. That is not degrading, just a matter of fact. And it again was a statement of FACT. They were sitting down and the lines were not straight. I didnt degrade them.

  • @tozer2011 Is that why they have been top three for the past couple of years?

  • @tozer2011 I'm not going to stoop to your level and point out your bands flaws, however hard they are to hold back. I respect the Fort Mill band not only because (most of them) are courteous even after a loss, but they have a reputation of excellence. I'm not even going to hold you acting like against the rest of Fort Mill's band, because obviously you do not reflect "your" band's integrity.

  • @nomonj06 Can you show me where I degraded Nation Ford's Director or the students? I didnt. Nor did I claim the judging was rigged. What I did say and continue to say is that the one judge that ranked Nation Ford ahead of Fort Mill in visual execution was wrong and that he obviously overlooked some glaring errors in Nation Ford's execution because on that night Fort Mill executed their show better than Nation Ford did.

  • @tozer2011 Ok it's clear, you relish making yourself look very foolish and all the attention it brings. So these near to exact quotes are not degrading?: "How could they be better visually, they can't even sit in a straight line." "The only reason they won is thay have staff on the board at SCBDA." "They went to BOA Grand Nationals in 2009 and couldn't even make the finals." Not degarding? Hope YOU are miserable all winter spring and summer whining. We'll be polishing the CHAMPION'S trophy.

  • tozer2011 you need to move on... It is time for you to post your sour comments some where else, This initial posting is for folks to enjoy watching this show. Many students have family members out of state. This posting may be the only way for them to see Nation Ford. You have done an outstanding job of bashing Nation Ford. These young people do NOT deserve your constant criticism. Move on.

  • Thats just it. Nation Ford's only true accomplishment this season was beating Fort Mill at State by a dubious .05 because they had problems with visual execution ALL season long. And their guard placed in the bottom of EVERY contest they were in. But for one visual execution judge at state who somehow placed Nation Ford ahead in the Visual Execution category when Fort Mill CLEARLY executed better and peforming tougher drill, Fort Mill would have righfully won State

  • @tozer2011 What do you mean a tougher drilll? Nafo had a way harder show, and executed it way better than you said. You think your good at judging this show but you don't even have anyone to back you up on your opinion. You're not even specific all you say fort mill was better than nafo visually 24/7.That doesn't prove a thing and even if you did..... who cares!! it's over. Move On!!!

  • Nation Ford, congratulations on a great marching season. Between you and Fort Mill, I don't know which school will be the best next year at state but you are both very tough bands to defeat. The only small issue I saw, the drum majors don't reflect the passionate marching and playing that the band is performing. Last year's drum majors showed a little more passion, something I think a band needs. Good luck to you guys and Fort Mill. Way to go -Drummajor of Midland Valley, 8th place at state

  • Congratulations Nation Ford on your state championship. Congratulations to Fort Mill on our silver medal and Upper State Championship. The school district in Fort Mill must be dripping with pride. I live out of state and have followed FM for years and NF since it opened. Such great programs. Now tozer2011, you really need to reflect on the success of the season, not the one show. Are you a better band member, can you play your horn better? If yes, then you have grown. Best wishes.

  • @jacksjunction you mean the immature postings like telling me to shut my yap and calling me "lozer". Not to mention threatening me. And you talk about having class and being a good ambassador? Pot meet Kettle.

  • @tozer2011 All I can do is laugh at the stupidity and just sheer ignorance of tozer. It's gotten to a point where it's hilarious how tightly you have held on to this grudge you have. Hold it against the judges, not the band. This coming up year, MAKE the judges put you in first place.

Sincerley, Probably the only person who still gives a crap what you say

  • Congratulations to Nation Ford on behalf of the Fort Mill band. We apologize for the random immature postings, and would like you all to know that they do not reflect the views of the rest of us, or those of our directors. Both programs are first class, and as such we all strive to be first class ambassadors. We are all very proud to represent Fort Mill, SC, and look forward to many continued years of competition making us both better. You took the trophy at state, and you earned it. 'Nuff said.

  • @jacksjunction Why dont you talk about the actual scoring of the competition instead of personally insulting and threatening me? I have not insulted you or Nation Ford's band. I dont have any issue with either. My issue lies withing the scoring. Thats all. Nation Ford had a great show and musically they were outstanding. You dont hear me say anything about the music scores. But Nation Ford had issues with visual execution all year including that night at state.

  • yeah, lozer, we've all come to the conclusion that you're willing to continue to show your lack of grace. How about taking this up with your director? Better yet, I will. I'm sure he'd be impressed by the classy way you're representing this program. I'm very proud of the hard work Fort Mill puts in year after year, but that's no guarantee you'll walk away with a blue ribbon. You obviously just don't get it.. Please stop embarrassing the rest of us.

  • Fort Mill has beaten the 4A State champion, the 3rd place State 5A band, the 3rd place State 4A band. AND placed forth at a very tough Bands of America event in Akron tying the champion for the visual execution caption award. And not to mention beating Nation Ford at Upper State.

Of course you want me to shut my yap because you have no defense or explanation for how Nation Ford could beat Fort Mill in visual execution thus enabling the .05 win at State.

  • Wando wins because they are the best program in the state bar none for the last 5 years and have proven that out through being a Bands of America Grand National Finalist last year.

Its telling that people dont want to talk about Nation Ford's visual performance issues that they have had ALL year. All the while Fort Mill has been consistent AND tying for Visual Execution caption at a Bands of America event which Nation Ford would not have had the same level of success.

  • i hate to bust your little bubble but it doesnt matter how much nation ford won by, they still won

so just let the past be the past and drop the immaturity

  • @CarpenterDeftones Are you really saying that Nation Ford is better than past Wando bands? Really? You know the Wando that made the finals at Bands of America Grand Nationals while Nation Ford couldnt even make it past the prelims.

Nation Ford may have bragging rights but it was by such a slim margin based on questionable judging in visual execution. And Fort Mill beat Nation Ford by .775 but Nation Ford only beat Fort Mill by .05.

  • @tozer2011 - I guess Wando took state this year because Scott Rush is prez of SCBDA, right? Yeah. Right..... Bottom line, NaFo walked away with the blue ribbons, and have shown they know how to act like champions. You might take a few notes on how to conduct yourself. Starting with, stop embarassing us, ok? Champions also know how to deal with defeat GRACEFULLY. Show some class. Better yet, just shut yer yap.

  • The simple fact is that Fort Mill was better at visual execution. Nation Ford has had problems with visual execution ALL year. Their color guard has scored in the botton of EVERY competition they have been to. At Upper State, Fort Mill beat Nation Ford in visual execution caption by 6.5 points. But somehow the next week Nation Ford tied Fort Mill in visual execution??? Nation Ford is not as clean as Fort Mill. Dont watch the dancing. Watch the intervals, lines, and color guard. Sloppy.

  • @tozer2011 - bitter, party of one, your table is ready. You're doing a great job of representing your band, if you want the world to consider a very proud program as a bunch of crybabies. Show a little class and stop embarassing the rest of Fort Mill, ok? News flash - Nation Ford WON. Accept it, and work to make yourself better for next year, because all your boohooing won't change this year's results. We're tired of hearing your whining. Mr. Pruitt will tell you the same thing. Move on.

  • Those are very kind comments. I'm a NAFO parent and would also comment that Batesburg-Leesville were gracious hosts for the state final. This win was extra special coming against our crosstown rival Fort Mill HS whose show was outstanding. They had beaten us in upper state by .7 of a point and the difference in this show was .05. Unfortunately there is one whiny FMHS backer posting all over the various performance videos complaining of rigged judging. Immature to say the least

  • @nomonj06 It's inevitable. The immaturity will always plague the sport... but one thing is for certain, you guys have a year's worth of bragging rights regardless!! We received flak in 2008 when we won state, just because the event was hosted in Batesburg-Leesville. :/

  • I was in the Batesburg-Leesville Panther Band from 2004 to 2009... I have been to so many competitions, and I've seen every band in the state of South Carolina perform at some point. NEVER have I seen a show of this caliber. This was by far the best music (HUGE SOUND), and the most mind blowing visual execution I have ever seen. Congratulations Nation Ford High School... you guys truly deserve every bit of that State Championship! It was an honor to have competed against this band in my career!

  • @CarpenterDeftones Thanks for the email and I did not realize Batesburg-Leesville won the 1A State, outstanding job! And what did I tell you 5 days ago about the twisted crusader who wants to avenge the imaginary wrongdoings against his band with allegations in every comment of of rigged judging(that's just scary). And taking every opportunity to degrade the WINNER's directors, wonderful young men and women and performances not only this year but previous years. Just so sad and pathetic.

  • @nomonj06 Anytime, anytime. I was proud of Batesburg too!! Wish they didn't have to compete in 1A now though. I miss competing so bad... but I don't miss the immaturity of sore losers. "Tozer"... You'll grow up eventually. I have no doubt of that... and I've seen Wando perform one time... years ago... but my point is to congratulate THESE state champions... Which by the way is something you'll never take from them. Sorry buddy. Move on.

  • @CarpenterDeftones What about Ridge VIew? (smiles) did you see us this year?

  • @CarpenterDeftones Thank you.

  • Nice changes for finals guys :) come a long way since olde english festival
