  • I don't like this AT ALL.

  • their music makes me so happy. :)

  • greetings from brazil !! eu amo esta musica!!!!

  • They are very genuine and entertaining!

    Look at that 2:00

  • Hey, this is actually pretty good!

Can't work out if the people are african or asian? That'll be Magagascar then!

  • dat nigga knows how to play da bass

  • @NirinaGasikara Nice, I can see the malagasy people looks almost same like me :) So you're like my far brothers/sisters? Greetings from Indonesia.

  • I AM FREAKIN' IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG! OMG! <3

  • @sherrxyz> you're welcome, bro :D you'll never leave Madagascar when you'll see how beautiful this country is

  • I'm quite surprised that Ndriana's post has been taged as a spam. His point of view is not wrong at all. Tarika's music is not really malagasy. They mixed sonunds from many countries but I think it's because they wanted to stick to an "ethnic" style, which is not bad, though.

I love Tarika but I wouldn't say their rythm is malagasy.

    Good job anyway.

  • what a beautiful song

  • What a beautiful song

  • I love how these people take care of nature that's how life should be. They glamorize nature.... in the western hemisphere we glamorize cars.

  • @teknologik101 What? These people take care of nature? You must joking! Since 1965, they have destroyed over 70% of their unique forest leading to the disappearance of some animal species!

  • @kenavo2103 I don't think you understand the politics in Madagascar. It's the corrupt politicians and multi-nationals that are destroyed the ecosystem, not the Malagasy people.

  • @LorenzoNW Well I don't know whether I understand or not but one thing I am sure about is that it's certainly not only due to their corrupt politicians and greedy multinationals, the people of this island have largely participated in the dreadful destruction with their traditional slash-and-burn cultivation without any forest planification behind. I know, I grew up with them and I loved them but tomorrow doesn't exist for them!

  • @teknologik101 That's why the island's diverse ecosystems and unique wildlife are severely threatened by human settlement and traditional slash-and-burn practices which have denuded Madagascar of 95% of its original forest cover. The West is far more environmentally conscious than most of Africa & the 3rd world. If you knew anything about environmentalism, you'd know that. Dude, environmentalism is great & all, but get your facts straight, rather then make ridiculously false statements.

  • @teknologik101 sorry for answering my words, Africa is also Western hemisphere, but you're right they express in their musicwhat life's worth!!!!

  • @teknologik101 they keep cutting thei forest till nothing is left, vey destructive people!

  • nice.

  • shake that thang get down!

  • Beautiful!!

  • présenté au festival métisses... sympa

  • @NirinaGasikara Mabuhay my fellow MALAYS! I'm a Filipino and its great to see the link in our languages. It is like visiting your distant relatives.

  • @Mangkukutod I'm a Malagasy (people who stay in Madagasikara are called "Malagasy") living here in Manila...Talaga you understand sth from this song?

  • Oh guys, that is very nice to hear your voice here...

    More cool thank you....

This valiha is the super one of all instruments §§§§ !

  • Tsara be

  • Awesome song. And did I hear dangdut-style flute in there?

Much love from Indonesia! We sure are remote cousins, aren't we? The zither player looks just like my mate.

  • @BushmenKing

Ah, and the lady held an anklung.... So is this song an acknowledgement of sorts of Malagasy's Malayic roots?

  • I think it's funny the entire song is about kobindravina - the dessert you see them cooking there. It's good, but I wouldn't write a whole song about it... :P

  • I LOVE IT! im hearing east indian, aboriginal and african elements in the music, really an interesting mix!!!

  • It is indeed. Madagascar has long been a cultural crossroads, with African, European, Arab, Indian, and other elements. The language is Malayo-Polynesian; their faces are beautiful blends of Asian and African; they're proudly wearing Madagascar silks--not surprising that a culture with one of Africa's few indigenous silk traditions is linked, if distantly, with Asia... Amazing.

  • is there indian influence in this music?

  • No wonder Anjoelina was a DJ

  • So cute and funny! I love it! Thanks.

  • Great stuff!
