I'm from Mexico and since I was 12 year old (nearly 11 years ago) I have had one dream, and that dream is going to Australia. And now that I know my dream is about to come true, I feel so excited and feeling like embracing Australia. I love Australia! and I hope someday I cal also say "I Still Call Australia Home" ... I love this song! It has such huge meaning for all Aussies I'm sure (especially my friends Timo and Nadie). Certainly a song to raise your spirits and pride in country.

Somebody should SERIOUSLY work on making this the National Anthem for Australia.

I think that the original music says "RIO" instead of "ROME"..isn´t it ?? Because RIO (so far) is not an itinerary of QANTAS, the commercial staff decided to change the music...too bad....NOW let´s be fidel to this beaultiful music and DEMAND QANTAS to fly to my city....pleeeeease, QANTAS set a frequence to RIO....

As a country kid I have spent the majority of my life in the country, then I moved to the city and I gotta say, most people in the city have no idea of what australia is truly like. People need to get out and broaden their horizons of this country.

I've literally met dozens of people that couldn't name one town outside the vicinity of Adelaide, its so sad.

Can't wait to visit the national park again next week, makes you feel like a real aussie and proud to be in such a beautiful country,

The original version by Peter Allen is RIO, but Qantas doesn't fly to Rio De Janiero so they changed it to Rome (which I believe they do/did fly to via codeshare), and Rome was in a few of their ads. Interesting hey!

heard the news recently? qantas had around 5 or 6 incidents in around 2 months, due to bad maintanence. the most recent happened a few days ago when the plane suddenly plunged into a dive and 51 were injured with around a dozen fatally injured. and this is not to mention the bad service and staff who are almost "rude".

the boy behind the open girl, i know, him, i was in the national boys choir from 1998-2005, this was the first add, i was only in training when this was shot but i was selected for the last 2 ads, i was in the last shot on the 2nd ad at uluruu and i was part of the "core" group of faces on the 3rd ad, i was flown all over the world but the most memorable shot was definetely standing ontop of the sydeny opera hourse.

Yeah your right she was there but only after the opening shot, I know we didnt have the crowd there as it the tuesday we did the commercial after 8hrs of rehearsing in the big buliding and thousands of sandwiches. The real performance was on that thursday. (See my memory isnt gone yet)
