After seeing Leon in the Joe Cocker movie, Mad Dogs and Englismen, in an old overgrown drive-in movie theatre in Lebanon Oregon when I was a hippie kid, he immediately became my favorite all time piano player and sexual fantasy. Thanks!!!! Word back in the 70's was that this song is about Little Richard. I don't know, but it's a fantastic song....... Leon was, and still is, way ahead of his time. Anyone who listens to the bridge in "Stranger in a Stange Land" can hear that he was the first rapper.

@aarfeld No, her name is Kathy McDonald. Donna Washburn was a backup singer during the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour. She had blonde hair and wore glasses.

@judecreek2: Oh man! I didn't recognize her and mistook her for Donna. Kathi McDonald was a fabulous singer. I have on LP her solo album from back in the '70s and it's hot! It has my absolute favorite version of Insane Asylum on it and a lot of other great music as well. Check it out if you can still find it. I believe Full Tilt Boogie tried to carry on for a time after Janis died with Kathi as their singer.
