This film is inundated with rich symbolism. Using b&w detracts from the gore and focuses on the true drama thus supporting the quandary of the protagonist. The Jaguar indeed "cuts in two" the storyline, from despair to new life (also depicted by childbirth) as she draws him from his enemies, sacrificing her life in his stead. The ultimate totem. Kudos to you, mugreentj, on your artistic abilities in realizing Gibson's vision in this short adaptation of the film. The choice of music is perfect.
