this is the stepping stone and the seed that will one day turn our civilization in another planet with self sufficient energy, waste, resources. Imagine a world were everything we use is reusable into energy, food, material.
People, this building is self sufficient. Electrically anyway. Remember, the majority of the electricty used today comes from burning coal, natural gas or oil, not wind. If the building can harness the wind to use it's own internal generator for power, how could this be a bad thing? It is, from an architectural and engineering standpoint, amazing. It's human nature to fear the new and unknown. People need to embrace technology. Only 125 years ago people thought humans flying was nuts.
because of the amazing dynamics of these structured rotating buildings it helps to produce more energy not impede. if humans cannot envision a future in architecture what will become of the fate of mankind?
this is rubbish. why would i or anyone want to spend all day in a revolving building. at no time in human history have we felt the need to live and work in shelter which revolves like this one planned to open in a few years in Dubai. We only just manage to cope on water or in space but each time do so without spinning around in a circle.
It's just another gimmick - pay no attention, there's nothing to see here. Isn't Dubai currently overstocked with innovative yet ostentatious buildings?
@tronexia it rotates really slow so you dont get sick

the only reason i wont want to live there is the noise.. it must be very noisey with all the rotations.. never get to sleep lol

good point. I think the architect must have kept that in mind and designed it sound proof.

They aren't going to move that fast.
And could they just build the tower for wind supply in other remote places, it would cost less. You know minus the homes in it.
