At the time Central State Hospital was closed the remaining patients were transferred to other institutions, they were NOT "set free." I've lived in Indy since 1979 and remember its closing.
I wanted to do an investigation on this place. My mother, r.i.p, worked there for 27 years and we used to go visit her there at work and ask for money or just to hang out with her cause she did a lot of overtime and the stories she used to tell us it would just freak us out. I do remember when someone exscaped from there and killed someone so tis place bring ALOT of scary memories
