  • Definitely! they didnt have enough exposure outside of canada. one day we will listen to our oldies stations and ramble on about it lol ..

  • Drummer's killin it, for real...

  • Comment removed

  • true but bieber has like 600 million views, this has 276,108 at time of viewing. makes me cry at night...

  • @joemeblowme Do you think it would be different if Youtube existed in 1994?

  • Clumsy was the best album they ever made

  • I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS A VIDEO FOR THIS SONG! OMG IM OBSESSED

  • wow, didn't realize how techy that drummer was when I was 10 lol

  • this song took a little longer to grow on me than the other OLP best known songs. But now i can hear the greatness! TUNE!

  • 2:50 to 3:04 best part :)

  • Boring. T_T

  • @PingPongRoxMySox bet your real name is sarah

  • @ddffmmaanngguuyy My name isn't Sarah... o.O

  • 16 people couldn't afford the view

  • muchmusic sucks dick now... this is when they'd play music

  • Keep Canadian Rock Alive.

  • Raine is so hooot gosh darnit why did I have to be 3 yrs old when this came out

... and this song is excellent. one of my faves!

  • @FutileResistance05 don't feel bad i was 1!

  • Alwaysri my first album also =o)

  • why do so many people point out how many dislikes are on each video in hopes of getting tons of thumbs up?

  • 16 people got lost in all the dumb shit new age music out there.

  • OLP wanted mainstream success which is why they chose Bob Rock to produce Gravity. Innocent and Somewhere Out Thete are probably two of their most known songs, both from Gravity. The only OLP albums I don't fully like are HIPT and Burn Burn.

  • This song reminds me of the time I gave flowers to a redhead I wanted to date. Her father slapped me and then I burned their house down. The girl died that night for some reason.....

  • I like how Clumsy is the first album by Our Lady Peace that everyone bought and it was the first album i bought aswell is such a good album and Spirtual machines, such a great variety of music!

  • best album ever... i have so many and its still my fav.....

  • A severely underatted band, A surprise they never broke through in America or England.

  • @DarkmatterDM i think gravity was kinda popular for a while...this album is still my favorite though. ^.^

  • @DarkmatterDM

WWE has used this band so much.

  • i notice the harmonics in the pre-chorus were taken out...hmm...

  • I always found it funny how Raine seemed all crazy in videos, but in interviews he was pretty serious and dull. Lol

  • @Laughinopoulous yeah, i saw OLP in concert about a year ago. He's not much of a showman

  • I can't get this song out of my head XD

  • There just isn't a bad song on this whole album.

  • now OLP sucks.. like all other sell out commercialized bands out there..

  • @jeffmcaraturnbull not true at all.

  • @jeffmcaraturnbull Gravity was amazing, HIPT wasn't amazing but had a few really awesome songs on it and Burn, Burn was just a little too chill, but still decent compared to a lot of the other shit out there.

  • @jeffmcaraturnbull Finally someone agrees with me!

  • he looks a bit like Ryan Gossling right?

    lovely both are canadian!

  • @12idiotslover13 You mean Raine, right? I think he looks a lot like Garret Hudlund.

  • First album I ever bought with my own money , Must have been only 8 ahhhh the memories !!! Great song, Great Album, Great band !!!!

  • @JG129 8?! Damn, I was graduating from high school when Clumsy came out. It was popular but often considered less cool as Naveed, from 94. 1994, damn what a year for music. Jar of Flies, Dookie, Mellow Gold, Superunknown, Twice Removed, Day for Night, Pisces Iscariot, Weezer's first are all released; Kurt Cobain, Sonic Smith, Cab Calloway all died; B.B. won a Grammy, and so did Miles, posthumously; Pearl Jam gets pissed off with Ticketmaster. The next year was the last really great musical year.

  • @TampaRed ahhh I still think there is some really great stuff out there now you just have to look through all the shit and you'll find it. But 90's was definitely a great decade for alternative music !!

  • @JG129 your right there was some great alternative in the 90's...but to tell you the truth alot of their music doesnt sound dated...

  • @TampaRed But I still have to say Spiritual machines is my favourite album by them followed by Clumsy !

  • @TampaRed ye Ive been saying for years 94 was the best for me, luckily I got into music that year fully.

  • What a fucking AWESOME drummer!! He OWNS this song. Raine's voice is secondary.

  • One thing is for sure though. Music videos piss me off because they are so exaggerated.

  • Damn I love that nineties sound man..

  • I'm not gonna say their newest album is bad just because it sounds different... I'm just gonna say the album Clumsy is so much more amazing than anything else I've ever heard.

  • @NonBelvr I agree i love all 3 of them to and saw all of them live.

  • I can't believe it's been years since I've listened to OLP. I just can't stop myself tonight now that I've started - I love their music and Raine's voice.

Their albums are the only music I own (other than STP and BTE) that I can listen to the entire album all the way through, love and enjoy every song and be transfixed by the music.

I just can't seem to tune them out as background noise. Their music just forces itself back into my conscious mind.

  • @NonBelvr !!!! whuts bte i know stone temple pilots! our lady peace is awsome!

  • i had this album but my ex stole it. :( guess i'll have to go get another one

  • @MrJayrock620 HAHAHA Same situation with me! I tell you man this world is so common in alot of ways

  • Looking forward to their concert in Lockport, NY on July 2, 2010

  • I really miss old Our Lady peace. I hope they bring something out that's this good sometime soon

  • @KSE159

Monkey Brains... > Automatic Flowers...there you go

  • @kennygmang

Monkey Brains doesn't come close to AF...

  • @DGFilmsPC

    uh, it kinda does

  • one of my fave songs of all time and i didnt know there was a music video

  • Awesome! <3

  • good song good video but raines hand movements scare the shit out of me still hes a good guy

  • Two words: Love This.

  • I used to love this band years ago, i just rediscovered them. They have a really unique sound, really nice lyrics. <3

  • finally someone that doesn't think the band is worse today

  • Well BootyBot we all think the 90s was the best period for music, because it was. Besides the 70s.

  • this stuff makes me proud to be a 90's kid, i can tell my kids that this was what was being played when i was there age... not that hip hop shit..

  • @justjoshenaround thanks now you will sound like my grandpa when he talks about ballroom dance music.

  • @BootyBot hey, at least OLP is good music :P Ballroom Dancing Music can burn in hell if i have anything to do with it! :)

  • @justjoshenaround ya thats what he said about classical music.

  • @justjoshenaround my point is that everyone thinks that their generation's music is the best

  • That guitar solo [remember kids, my opinion] has to be THEE best grunge guitar solo next to Kurt Cobain's In Bloom solo. I like to see Steve Mazur top that.

  • Paper Moon, and sorry, but - although it's a classic rock solo - Mazur's solo on PM is better than Turner's solo on AF.

But both songs are still equally good.

  • his voice is like sex to my ears<3

  • i miss the 90s. music was so real back in the day. none of this lady blah blah, justin beiber shite. this is what music is supposed to sound like.

  • Teenagers of today take note.

This was Canadian music in the 90's.

Also, note how much music was playing music.

    You kids missed out.

  • I am Canadian so I consider these guys family lol

  • @hate420breed I consider you family too then!!

    CANADA FTW!

  • Love the band but Raine is such a fuckin' camera ham. Can't you just be a rock star?

  • @JohnnieNaked He's the frontman in the band.. a band always has one.. it's whoever assumes the position.. normally Singer or Guitarist.. in this case Singer..

  • not bad but i dont get the lyrics anybody have a freaking clue?

  • favorite OLP album

  • god damm those automatic flower's

    they just wont do!!!

  • Fucking, fucking fucking fucking FUCKING BRILLIANT music

  • @Slacktoo FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING BRILLIANT EH?

    :D

  • love this song!

  • im obsessed with this video. its the best. and all the weird quirks about raine just make him hotter!

  • This is real music. Canadians do it best :]

  • fucking eh! and we just keep doing it

  • @Zaxif Well put. It's because we put all our soul into it brother. So proud to be from the Great White North!

  • @Zaxif exept for nickle back

  • Comment removed

  • @Zaxif Our Lady Peace is one of my favorite bands but why does everyone have to bring Nationality into it? Shit stain bands like Simple Plan also come from Canada.

  • @AptivaXL Oh yeah, there are some less than great songs/artists from here.

But there's diversity and hey, some people like Simple Plan for deep reasons [unknown to me, but still] ... or, you know, Celine Dion. OLP is one of many greats and failures.

  • Comment removed

  • @beastwrightdw

Not much point in bringing up Bieber on an OLP video.

  • @Zaxif then shut up about him, This music is absolutely amazing btw.

  • First album I ever bought, picked it up at a garage sale when i was 7. One of the wisest purchases of my life.

  • @AlwaysRi Haha that is a great purchase, but I want to know why someone would want to sell it? lol

  • @Charredeggs Haha no idea, unconventional music defined yard sales in the 90's :P I wish I was naive enough to believe that someone loved it, then just had to pass it on so someone else could discover and love it. I guess it's time to pass it on, (Though I'll rip it first YEAYEAYEA :D)

  • @AlwaysRi

  • Our lady peace's use of puppets is almost equal to call of dutys use of Teddy bears :)

  • The Mike Turner days of Our Lady Peace were the best :)

  • Clumsy was easily one of the best rock records of the 1990's. I wore out the cassette in my car...it actually got stuck in the radio. Brings back memories of better days. OLP is awesome live too. Totally underrated band.

  • Agreed about them being awesome live. Caught them a few years back and it was very good. Either they're great live, or their music isn't processed much in the recording sessions so they can actually remake their sound live.

  • this is defiantly my favorite song by our lady peace. maybe it's because my name is sarah. lol

    theyre awesome!

  • my name was going to be sarah if i was born a girl. lol

  • i love the song its used in my favourite movie.......................everything is just perfect...<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • I think Jeremy Taggart is one hell of an under-rated drummer, if you listen to his beats, they are pretty technical for the genre of music hes playing. Pay attention to the drummer and you'll see what I mean. =)

  • Absolutely agree Tek, he is my favorite drummer. And it's equally him and Raine the reasons I listen to OLP.

  • Love it They rock <3

  • this song is mental

  • OLP ow thei

    ROCK!!!!!!

  • we've got to show the whole world what a great song this is or people will start listening to their latest albums.

  • FUCKING RIGHT! They rocked live when I saw them back in the day! I need a refreshment...

  • clumsy... 1994

  • it was accualy 97

  • he gets me....and i love him!!!!!!!!

  • thank you for posting... some real tunes here

    :)

  • Great song about life I feel, it's like they can take one made up person and make that person seem real genius

  • i really think this is a great song!

  • One of my favorite OLP songs and video is great, lots of Raine =)

  • I never said it was on Clumsy. All For You is on Gravity.

  • but sarah cant see straight.. shes drinking herself b l i n d.

  • When I was 14, this music made sense to me. They will always be just nice lyrics now.

  • why did steve quit the band?

  • awsome

  • SERIOUSLY???? there are ppl saying this is a bad song! its one of the best!!

  • This is one of my favorites. Well structured and executed and it has heart.,

  • this has more views then "all you did was save my life" yes!!!!!!

  • I like this song, and love OLP.. But In my opinion.. 'All You Did Was Save My Life' is a better song, : )

  • lol- give it time, 'burn burn burn' has just come out...:p not that i like that album more than the older stuff

  • ah...gotta miss that awesome voice

  • definatly- he's lost his nasaly higher tones that i almost prefer..atleast you can still tell its definatly him on the new album

  • totally different voice then normal Raine Maida! but oxome song !!! <3

  • Thats the thing... That voice IS actual Raine Maida's voice. It was like that from Naveed their first album, up untill #4 Spiritual Machine... Then Mike Turner, lead guitar, left.. and the band completely changed, as Raine's voice as well. I think its trully the passion he had, that vanished... today he sings with a plain and simple voice, and their music is mostly average commercial songs on radio... sadly.

  • well that also deals with age too, Maida is getting older and the older you get the harder it is to sing hih and have a larger range, but yes his style did change when Turner left but that cannot be the sole reason although i believe it had heavy influence

  • Our lady Peace was awesome @ the Ed fest.... but Mother Mother sucked but gud thing they did not play long.... but they sud of had hinder to play for the nite that Our Lady Peace was on.... they cud not come cause of the ed fest stage was damaged.. and it sucked

  • i love the insane look in raines eyes... it rly adds to the video

  • The madness in his eyes - and in his lyrics - has disappeared.

  • ik and it makes me sad... i think its cuz the old lead guitarist mike left... he made the songs what they were

  • Only partly. Mike used a lot of distortion and effects with his guitar to give OLP their odd, dirty, slightly disorganized sound. Raine's slightly neurotic vocals and lyrics was a good combination that made for a unique sound and image.

But now, everything is sparkling clean. Mazur's guitar is clean and unadventurous, and though Raine's lyrics are now far more poetic, artsy and political than ever, they lost that cryptic metaphoric feel and his voice is flat and dull.

    RADIO FODDER. BLECH.

  • i actually agree. and i love the way you put all that... (the 2nd part tht is) but do you know y mike turner left the band anyways??

  • Mike left during the recording of Gravity. Mike did the guitars in "All For You" and "Story About A Girl" and Steve Mazur did the rest. See if you can notice a difference between Mike's guitar playing and Steve's.

As for Mike leaving... I blame Bob Rock. He started OLP on a path that Mike just didn't agree with. I believe a rift formed during recording of Gravity and it was Mike vs Bob Rock and the rest of the band.

  • You're absolutely right Jeri, Mike left because he openly said that the band should never go with Bob Rock, that it would destroy everything they had worked for, since Naveed up to Spiritual Machine, but they went with Bob "crap" Rock anyway. Since then, ALL the members left at least once, the band broke many times, their music became plain commercial radio stuff, & Raine changed his voice for what we know today. All the members returned after a while, not Mike though... he never did.

  • Mike recorded two songs with Bob Rock on Gravity. The first and last tracks. See if you can tell. In an interview, Jeremy Taggart said that the band wasn't affected by Mike leaving and I think he had a point. The band had changed course already by the time Mike left, and the band continued on that course.

All that band breaking up and members quitting and stuff, that all happened during the Paranoid Times sessions. Bob Rock was even fired once, but they hired him back. It was rough times.

  • Steve's great on their new album + live as well tho

  • Steve's guitar playing is too clean, too safe, and incredibly boring.

The new album is incredibly sterile.

  • Though I do like some of their new stuff, I have to agree with you. OLP has really lost a lot of it's edge because of steve's reserved attitude towards the tone of his guitar.

  • Steve's guitar is only one factor. Raine's lyrics and singing is the other big one.

  • True, but looking in the past, I feel as though Mike brought out a lot of the best in Raine. Look at the songs "Story About a Girl" and "All for You." Though both are from Gravity, they were recorded with Mike before he left. You can hear how different he sounds just when Mike is playing as opposed to Steve. Two great songs in my opinion.

  • Raine's singing in All For You is definitely better (compared to the rest of the album), but the lyrics are still really tame in both songs.

  • Supposedly, Raine said in an interview that most of the lyrics on Gravity were rewritten because producer Bob Rock felt that the songs would be stronger with simpler lyrics where listeners could understand what Raine was talking about.

  • well thts the beauty of olp... u rly have to listen to the lyrics to know what they mean... i dnt like songs where they jst come out and say what it means if u know what i mean... lol... and yea there is a huge difference between mikes and steves playing.. like HUGE...

  • how do I get rid of the language filter?

  • hell yar you're right about the eyes. Superman's Dead is by far the best song. but this is G too.

  • Even though Mike's gone, along with Raine's falsetto, the real reason their old stuff was so much better is finally clear to me. When the music was good, Raine had an insane look in his eyes when he sang. That's gone now...

  • yeah you could be right about those eyes lol, I was just watching "all you did was save my life" it's just not the same...unlike his eyes rolling and body language in 'superman's dead' or 'one man army' the old OLP I love
