From the videos I've seen, Daigo mostly uses v-ism Ryu. He tends to change on occasions if he feels A-ism/Z-ism is better suited for the particular character.

Kiyo always quickly inputs 2 fireball motions after pressing mp. If the mp hits the opponent, he then only has to press any kick button to execute the super. If the mp misses or is blocked, he doesn't press a kick button. This technique is known as hit-confirming because the player executes all the joystick directions early, and only presses the button (for the super) if the initial poke successfully hits.

You're describing both hit confirming and buffering. Hit confirming is assuring you land a hit to start a combo, or super cancel. Buffering is inputting the motions for a special or super attack while another animation is going off.

i'm not sure it was so much a "moral decision" as a tip of the hat to Alex Valle for Valle's V-Ryu play at a tournament (i think the B4 tournament?). before then Daigo was all about V-Akuma.

Thats very true, but at this point in time Daigo wasnt playing Alpha3 as much as he use to and was concentrating more on 3rd strike and CVS2

it'd be interesting to see Daigo's V-Ryu vs A-Guy instead, or A-Guy vs A-Guy. Daigo's A-Guy was also pretty mean last i checked.
