  • This is cool I work at MKS. The saw you guys are showing is our block saw. It's blade is 11 1/2 diamater. Instead of replaceing the blade all the time we retip them with a diamound segments. This saw will cut several blacks in a 10hr shift. Kinda cool to see the place that I work at on youtube ty guys for showing this video.

  • hey dude. nice comment. its very insightful... would u know how much a machine like this would cost??

  • Not sure I can ask my boss this week and find out the going price for one of these saws

  • From what I found out from my boss he said that it depends on the building you are puting it in and the type of stone but anywhere from $250,000 to $500,000

  • omg! thats so much! are you talking second hand or brand new though? thanks a heap for asking, its real kind of u.

  • that price is for brand new

  • oh and the stone is granite, not marble. i think marble is 'softer' and easier to cut, the machines ive seen are cheaper for marble... dunno if thats just a coincidence or common trend though

  • I wonder how often they have to replace the sawblade and how much it'll cost...

  • Defenetly beats how the egypticians used to do it!

Mind you, the tough jobs today, we either get a mexican or a chinese to do it!

It all depends which continent you live in?

  • wow
