I love this version by the Honourable Michael Jackson ! I just simply love discovering rare songs by the Jacksons or Michael and downloading them! This version is smashing! Michael has the ability to take a song with a sad meaning and making it so joyful! Only this little boy has the talent! Just taking one look at him can cheer anyone up!
I love the Jackie Wilson version, probably the best song, by the best voice ever recorded. But, this version by Michael is wonderful too ... and you can tell it was from when he was really young, but still gets the passion of the song. Michael & Jackie ... so sad they are both gone now.
Michael Jackson, child soul genius. What a phenomenal version of this Jackie Wilson classic, Michael could sing the phonebook and move his listeners to tears.
there should never be a comparison - this is a 12 year old Mike singing not an adult Jackie Wilson, but you have to tell yourselves which 12 year old can sing or will ever sing like this, with so much emotions just like a pro adult!!!
SOMETIMES A SECOND VERSION OF A SONG IS SOMETIMES BETTER, THIS IS NOT 100% BETTER!!! THIS DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO JACKIE'S VERSION. ANYBODY WHO THINKS IT IS, SHOULD HAVE THERE EARS CK'D OUT!!! "GO JACKIE WILSON"...............
michael jackson is influenced by james brown jakie wilson and i think its amazing he song his song lonely tear drops your wonderful michael i love you soooooooooooooooooooooooo much never forget it honey!!!!!<3<3<3<3<3<3:*

My (former) wife and I saw The Jackson Five at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada ~ back in the summer of 1974. They introduced his little sister at that performance! We also saw Gladys Knight & The Pips the same year at the same venue. It was great entertainment and more than worth the drive out from L.A.
completely devoid of the sexiness of the original jackie wilson recording, which made it such a great record. then again, probably for the best in this case.
@ladymusiclover Ikr?! If they bothered to do a little homework/research, they'd know that Jackie Wilson was one of the artists that Michael himself said he was influenced by and loved.
@mzbuisness1 you are just kidding right? i mean yeah! MJ has awsome voice (dont tell my DeathMetal peeps i said that LOL) but Jackie sang it like he was in pain Mikey here sounds like he's just beltin out the words......Ohhh i'd to hear Nelly sing this that Dude can sing not rap but actually sing when he wants too!!
They must have recorded the most records in Music History!~And MOTOWN~~! WOW!~SMOKEY Robinson wrote 4,000 songs and was just one of many song writers at Motown..Good LORD!!!~ what record company can match this history right here~~? What male Singer/ artist today can even come close to recording these many songs in their whole lifetime ? and which will be RELEVANT! and around as long as M j?
holy shzz..can't belive he did this this song too, from one of his idols..was kinda hoping he did smth by jackie wilson and I have to say they sure gave it that j5 vibe and his vocals are so soulful for his age..thx aimeedus for your wonderful collection of mj/j5 songs
@msros60 we know how he loved james brown but it goes even farther with jackie wilson...watch the original version of lonely teardrops jackie and you'll see what i mean!

Mikey kicked Smokey's butt on "Who's Loving You" but Jackie STILL rules on this one. It's more the arrangement that rubbed me the wrong way.
Vocals ..as always still great.
