Actually Julia did a better job but Julia acted more like "if an adult was in the situation". I think they were looking for a "less mature" reaction. I don't think Jennifer did a bad job, she just acted differently. More like an adolescent than an adult.

I can see that she gets into her character really well and that is something i use to do when i use to sing solo back in high school...i dont do it anymore cuz im a shy guy and therefore i dont do acting...lol

If you study it closely and listen carefully,she's not acting after he threw the styrofoam. It tore out her earring by accident and he says "I'm sorry. I'll glue it back together" I'm sure he was referring to the earring breaking,not the styrofoam. Unless it was a prop that would be used in the movie...never saw the movie so not sure if this entire scene is in it.

It's unanimous here that she is a great actress and that also explains why this could be real,not acting. To be such a great actor would take a lot of control...special training and discipline. I see pain in her eyes,and when she leans on the table,she's trying to compose herself. But that's what acting is all about...blurring the line of fantasy and reality.
