It's ok -- I believe you!! My cat is the same way. From what I understand, the oil in olives have a chemical property similar to catnip, binding certain receptors to mimic a pleasure pheromone. Like catnip, it's only effective for awhile before the cat becomes temporarily immune to further effect. Wait a few hours to a day, and another olive will have him going nuts again!

Ronin is adorable!!! My two Savannahs had their first olive today and went nuts over it! My camera was of course, out of battery.

My cat, a bengal, also is crazy for olives, It even attacked and rubbed itself about our olive soap.
