Because guys always want the highest score, which means either playing with the least amount of movement possible.

Female DDR players usually don't care as much, so they jump around on the pads more.

I'm one a female DDR player myself, and I don't really care much about getting elusive AAA scores. It's more about having fun.

Well, I shall type that that pad looks a lot like mine, and I got mine from ebay -- it was the cheapest metal pad I saw. I have heard a bunch of complaints about the TX-1000 (what that and my pad appear to be), and I have had to resolder wires on mine in three arrows in addition to the light wires. Currently, it works okay, so I hope I do not have anymore trouble with it^^

it's pretty good that you an play without the bar even on a quick song (I also play without the bar) but I noticed that you tend to raise your left arm a lot, is it because losing balance?

Maybe you could work on that by either placing your arm on your stomach or in your back ^^ (though it does take a while to stop flailing while playing. I used to always keep my head around the center and my body would move, it was pretty funny to see)

1. this chart has more double steps (or some turns, if you're especially crazy) than crossovers. It's one of those "open to interpretation" kind of charts, there's no right way to do it.

Some tips to improve stamina (which are working for me so far):

1) Playing no bar improves your balance AND your stamina. (though my preferred playing method typically is to use the bar)

2) Jog on a frequent basis. I find it more effective then cycling to be honest.

I don't know how you play, but I tend to use my toes more then my heels on streams. Generally I try to heel-toe the pad.

that mat isnt that great, look up Cobalt Flux. go to there website, they make the best DDR pads out there. buy the modded ones. it should cost (for modded DDR pads, so the arrows are raised instead of lowered) 347.39 or so, depending on the shipping method you choose
