So the other day I get my credit card statement and I see a charge of 14.95 with an 877 number next to it so I call the number to find out what it's about and I'm greeted with "Thank you for calling freecreditreport..." and I finally get to talk to someone and ask what the deal is and the guy says (girlfriend's name here) signed up for the free trial with my card. I said "How the @#$%& did someone that wasn't me use my credit card to sign up for YOUR service of all things?!"

If they credit report is truly free, why can't I just sign on, pop in my info and get it. Besides, isn't it kind of counter productive to spend millions to advertise a free service. If they are paying advertising fees, there must be a source of income for them, that is charging for credit report.
