Yeah, Donna Loren was the "It" girl of the 60s. I see she was on the "Monkees" and I know she was on Gomer Pyle. One of those episodes where Gomer went to the home of one of his army buddies. Loren was the "little sister".
@Juliaflo LOL, the only way I can figure it depends on if you viewed the first run episodes or when the Mickey Mouse Club was shown on TV years later in syndication. Either way, I bet I'm closer to your age than you think.
people were real marketing morons back then. if you go back another ten years, you can see athletes and actors talking about how healthful cigarettes are.....
Donna Loren . . . I had a crush on her as a young kid (I remember this ad even though I was 4 when it came out). Beautiful then as now, only more mature.
Why can't they make commercials fun and cathy like this anymore instaead of annoying???! Just my opinion! I LOVE the old jingles from th e50's and 60's, guess I was born a bit late to really see them, came along in Dec 1966. Gee all the fun I missed!!
@56Mercgal I know what you mean. I was actually born in April of 92, but I love these there so cute. Even in my 18 years the commericals have changed so much.
This song is imprinted on my memory, but until just this minute, when I watched this, I wasn't able to clearly remember "The lift is great, the flavor fine". Maybe I didn't clearly understand the words back in the '60s in the first place.
I was six years old when this series of commercials aired. As a result, for years I thought that these were the original lyrics to this tune. It wasn't until a few years later, as a teenager, that I found out that "Glow Worm" was an old Mills Brothers hit.

@amuslima99 I saw her on The Mickey Mouse Club on Talent Roundup Day; she was going under her birth name, Donna Zukor.

She is just too georgous! She's got that big beautiful spirited Lena Horne smile with those dramatic Diana Ross eyes, just truly beautiful...

Man, she is beautiful - I loved her in the Beach Party movies - and her "10 Good Reasons" is one of my favorite songs!
