u need to keep fort hp 50%+, break horn, use anti D bomb, break shoulders, and use alot of barrelbomb+, it is easier to repel lao shan with the black bow, and u can get carves off his back
I aim for the chest. I bring Mega Drinks so I keep my stamina, and slash away at the chest. He flinches frequently, and I normally dodge to my right when slashing his belly (his left). His belly is his critical spot, and I focus solely on that. When he enters zones, though, I slash at his face, being as I can't reach his stomach quite yet.
It works well for me, and I've gotten 5/5 kills on him in the HR8 quest.
Dragon that's for sure but don't be afraid to give fire attributes a go at it any fire attribute that is 450+ at least will do the job and you may even kill it. ;)
And dude i climb the lao when his head reaches the ladder so when i get up there his back is already there and then i carve twice plant the anti drag bombs carve once more if i can then im off the anti drag bomb makes lao limp instant and big dmg so its usefull and the leg is usefull to make lao limp and i attack from behind a bit then roll closer then attack the belly and repeat so yeah and yes cannon shot is plain useless mmmkay and btw wth lol can u even cut the tail?if so than shit cool! :D

How do you fight the red version of Lao Shan Lung? Whenever I do the Lao Shan Lung quest I have in the Guild I always get an Azure Lao. I need the regular Lao's pieces though =(.
TO get the reg. Lao quest, It is the urgent quest for HR 1. The only way you'll do Lao reg. is if you do the HR 1 urgent, or you scroll to the 2nd to last quest for HR2 quests.

dont listen to rasuk, its true you do want to attack the head to flinch it, but attacking the feet and belly are also good his belly is weak and attacking his feet knock him down
True, What you want to keep in mind everyone is that attacking the belly is the weak point, But at that spot, cutting does the most damage. Let's say that each extra amount of damage that is done is equal to 1 percent.
Impact (Hammer, Horn, etc..) will do 20% as cutting will do 38 or so percent.

Armour:Monoblos s - Gives a good deffence and, the most important thing, GIVE SHARPNESS!

LOL I wore the Gravios set just for fun because it looks cool xD and I don't think you can kill Lao outside the fort I even tried hacking it just to see if it's possible with full damage per second hack but it didn't =P and uhhh dude you don't need energy for Lao you just bring mega juices 5x even though you're naked with the right weapon you can kill it and no you don't use thunder attributes against Laos and wtf Herbal Medicine?
I spent the full 35 mins, Beat the CUNT SHIT out of him, and was at 30% and I still failed ^_^

i think you have to finish all normal guild quest hr: 1, 2, and 3, Im not sure if you do 4. Use google.

head when he comes in but the belly is his weakest point just hit the head when he's coming in until the belly can be hit then its belly time

i remembered when i tried jumping on him 3 times today
1st time, i jumped on but a rock knocked me off at mid jump
2nd time i landed in the wrong area so it made me slide off
3rd time was the same as 2nd time
when i was carrying the cannon shot, i usually stay almost near the left side and then run with the shot, then when i see his head, i release the shot
and then if his head's up, and hes right next to the fortress, then i also shoot from there :awesome:

the key 2 lao is 2 use a fast but powerful weapon..nvr ever attack the belly,the feet or the tail..just concentrate on the head..
