  • i don´t like it at all......too much reverb and too far away, BAD

  • @rekuziter He probably added the reverb. This setup could serve a purpose, maybe in a wide, silent shot in a film. But I'm pretty sure the violin is sampled in a much drier room, and he used one of PLAY's built in reverbs.

  • @rekuziter You can adjust the reverb and how far away it sounds. Check out other demos.

  • Now do some fast Romanian folk music on it !!

  • Why that good for nothing shaking hand?

  • @Berliozini Sorry I play with a tiny bit of emotion...next time just close your eyes, how about that? ;)

  • @Berliozini dick

  • @AndrecJC Hiya friend! I really hope you can help me with this question. I understand it's possible to manually program MIDI into a sequencer & have the gypsy violin or alternative plugin play it back.. but do you know how to program the slide data or have you been able to do this effectively? I have tried programming slides in the list editor without success and it is really holding up my ability to move forward in making music.

  • @PeterGratrex I thought the patch automatically plays a slide when you play legato - so overlap the notes in the sequencer. Or maybe it's triggered by the mod. wheel. Mess around with those some. :) Good luck!

  • @AndrecJC Thanks

  • @AndrecJC I think the only way for me to do MIDI slides for guitar is to buy Cubase 6 with its 'VST Expression 2' which lets you pick out individual notes. Problem is I don't think any software out there other than Halion is compatible yet.

In any case, I can't help but come back and listen to this lovely Gypsy violin! I really hope I can get some guitar stuff down in the future and use this brilliant instrument :)

  • yes, Vienna Symphonic Library to Symphonic Orchestra of EWQL. Especially the strings and woodwinds of VSL. Just my opinion. But EWQL has all the fun stuffs.

  • I know. I was just comparing the violin of Vienna Symphonic Library to EWQL. I love the EWQL series and am researching on which one to get.

  • @Zacmosai Symphonic Orchestra is from EWQL, too? Anyways...

  • out of everything, every synth ever, I think the violin is the hardest to replicate, and this is a brilliant synth but still doesn't sound right...

  • too Expensive this shit!!!

  • 0:10 to 0:14 reminds me Lotr soundtrack.

  • too much reverb

  • @NeyTheBoss2008 Just showing off the preset patch

  • @AndrecJC, congratulations from maestroney from brazil, creator of vsts pro, check my youtube page "studiomerlim". Do you work for ewql or are you just a fan of ewql?

  • @NeyTheBoss2008 I don't work for EWQL - just want to show off their stuff, cause I think it's great!

  • This is possibly the most realistic violin sound I have ever heard in a virtual instrument, this violin actually sounds convincing. This blows DSK strings out of the water.

  • @Penguindog55 It is an awesome patch, I agree!

  • @AndrecJC Not that I don't like DSK Strings, but in an ideal world if I could have any VST instrument

this would be one of the pluggins in my collection.

  • @Penguindog55 Oooooh I'm not the only one who uses DSK Strings O_O

  • @Penguindog55 Really? I think VSL is way better. I play the violin.

  • @Zacmosai Keep in mind the solo violin from Symphonic Orchestra has way more articulations than the Gypsy one.

  • I am very interested in how you connect the keyboard to the computer in order to play that particular melody. Also, do you know of any way or program that I can use with my PSRS900 keyboard to obtain new and more realistically instrument sounds? ( voices)

  • @jesusfierrosh The S900 is just being used as a MIDI controller. The reason I've invested in these virtual instruments is to get more realistic sounds - I'm pretty certain the S900 can't be expanded on its own. You'll need a computer to host VST's, like NI Komplete or EastWest Gypsy. Lots of possibilities!

  • I have all of this software, but I just can't get it to work with my PSR S 900 and Windows 7 desktop computer. I must have spent $1500 on all of this software and I just can't get it to work.

  • @johnny102marvin It does take a while to get figured out, but I think it's worth it in the end. What software do you have?

  • reminds me of Titanic

  • beautiful!

  • @ResetLiveGrow That was fast! :) Thanks!
