When I saw "fandub" I cringed... but that was a damn fine job. I think it's safe to say that was the best fandub that I've ever heard, excluding your forgivable accent.
@Iisankun Thank you very much! I'm glad people enjoy this so much, especially since I originally recorded it in a very short span of time. As for how I said "Kyon," looking back, it bugs me too. I recorded this when most of my knowledge of the series came from reading the light novels, so I didn't have the all the pronunciation down quite yet. At the very least, I now know how to say his name properly.
@Quebb016 Well, Bandai has announced that they'll be releasing a DVD, and considering the Japanese version has already been out for a while, I'm pretty sure their release will be dubbed. Rumor has it it'll be coming out in Spring.
i already watch this series and its a bit sad.. i feel sorry for nagato.at last kyon reject the alter world eventhough that world are the world that yuki wish for her life to be.she like to be a normal human and like to have emotion compare from her original world where she didnt. she tired of involve herself with haruhi and tired of everyone who always relying and dependent on her.the disappearance of haruhi finally are cause by yuki herself who actually desire only normal world without haruhi.
This scene (in the real movie) drove me to tears. Why? My head is full of magical stories coming from a mysterious voice that seems to speak to half a dozen people at once, proving her existence by having me encounter music and video resembling what I've already written before it has had a chance to inspire me ... this is a question I can ponder in real life!! Excellent dub, but it does seem to be a little quiet, and I had everything on my system cranked to barely hear it.
Beautiful, Just beautiful. No, I am not over reacting. This movie, This artwork-NO, This master peice... It was so beautiful. It also taught me some things about life. Some of the things this touching dub, and movie has taught me is: Cherish the life you lead, Love your friends, and finally, Care.
Very good job. You dont have the best translation of the source material (i have seen it RAW and know japanese. but you did an amazing job with whatever translation you were using.
To add onto this, I have to say, if i have any critique, your Kyon doesn't sound bored or indifferent enough. but your awesome Kyon who beats sense into him is awesome.
@sharingan133 Thanks for your critique. It hadn't occurred to me, but looking at it now, my "normal Kyon" was a little melodramatic, wasn't he? Thanks for pointing that out; I'll be sure to save the hamminess for the inner Kyon next time!
Very good job. You dont have the best translation of the source material (i have seen it RAW and know japanese. but you did an amazing job with whatever translation you were using.
@Jacomelo117 Yes. Watch Clannad first (episodes 1-11 are pretty cheesy, but bear with it). It picks up from there. The second half of Clannad After Story has made everyone who has ever seen it (that I have encountered) cry. And I agree, why is Kyon so damn lucky?! Yuki offered him a perfect world AND a girlfriend to go with that, and he says no?
Nice work with this Cyber. You picked out my favorite part of the movie and it was awesome to hear it again. The Haruhi movie was tremendous, Kyon's part here is probably the the most moving part to me. Great job.
Amazing Mr. Banjo. I truly loved this scene as well; the part when Kyon finally decides what life he truly prefers, the love he truly wants. A normal one, or an insane yet so interesting life. You handled this scene brilliantly.
I liked how you did this. Your script and pacing is excellent. If just touched up a bit here and there and you know... animated... I could have just expected the english version to be a lot like this. When it comes out of course. I love this scene. Great job man.
@CryofwarChannel Thanks. And, actually someone streamed a (really terrible quality) camrip a while back which I managed to stumble across. There were no subtitles either, but as I'd already read the novel, I didn't worry too much about that. I'm pretty sure there's a subtitled/improved camrip out now, but I'm probably going to wait for the DVD before I watch the movie for real.
A plus for effort

Will the film be dubbed in English by the actors who dubbed for the series at all? I really really hope so :(
