This is probably the best audio quality I've heard of any Alter Bridge video here on Youtube. The whole spectrum is so crisp and full. Too bad it's only the second half of the song.

If you look and listen real closely you can tell it starts off around the same note of the original solo, but look at his fingering, that is how I have been trying to learn it and all the other extended solos. they kick all forms of ASS!! plus it does help if you have the dvd.

hey i have been working on this solo for god knows how long and its pretty easy once you get the feel to it. :40 to 1:06 is pretty simple its pretty much a jazz feel and manly trills towards teh end up of it then he turns around and all you need to do is have patienece and follow his fingering

Myles is a double threat...if he has a night where he doesnt sing well(he still did pretty good here), he makes it up for it with crazy solos like that...if he has a bad guitar night then his singing makes up for it...he's amazing!

After seeing this video I was kinda sad that the first part of Myle's solo wasn't on the CD, he did an awesome job, he has such a bluesy feel to what he plays, I love it. Tremonti was amazing as always, best guitarist by far! AB ROCKS!!

man!!! the next night when they were in youngstown he was still sick. They cut some of the songs out that he couldn't sing, but they still did blackbird and a big handfull. he was sick as a dog but he explained to everyone that he used this steaming method that helped clear his head up. He sounded alot better and not as congested.poor guy!! He went right to the bus after words and went to sleep.

No, it's not about making an attempt here. Myles was really really sick during this time. He still did pretty well considering, but you've got to give him credit for still working his butt off despite his illness. And he still did rather well.

Mate don't get me wrong, this is by far the best live performance that they have done of the Blackbird I have seen on youtube so far. They fucking nailed those solos.

I think it was just improvisation mate at the end, Myles played the bit he usually plays at the end a bit earlier and Tremonti carried on with the main tune a bit longer, absolutely amazing though! They have the freedom to mix it up a bit live and they pull it off tremendously :)

That is true, but sick or not, Myles still sang like an absolute beast. When he was talking I thought he was going to die, but he sang fine. The only time I could tell he was sick by his singing was the vocal solo in Open Your Eyes.
