I just finished The Rules of Survival. I think the author is Nancy Werlin... I'm usually not one for realistic fiction, but I really liked it. Go Ask Alice is always a good book to read too. It's eye opening.
Most just ask for money and volunteers, but i also love how this asked for yout time. Ithink it seems a lot more caring that most other charitys. What do you guys think?
My 10-year-old sister and I are going to start a video blog. My mom bought us both handheld camcorders. However, the video file format from the cameras in .mov, and my sister only has/knows how to use Windows Movie Maker, which doesn't take .mov files. I tried using the Rad Tools converter and it screwed up my video.

i love them all... except the cat in the hat. don't like him.
everything else, though. and forget the being little part of the question, i still love reading them to my kids, all of them were teethed on Dr. Seuss, as was I.
re: Dr. Seuss, thought, i must announce a very sad tale.
since the man's death, they have "adapted" his great works.
i started to read the "adapted" Dr. Seuss' ABC to my toddler (who absorbs it all like a sponge), and i had to put the newly purchased book away and hunt yard sales until i could find it.
i got as far as not seing David Donald Doo before i looked ahead and realized that the many mumbling mice making midnight music in the moonlight were also nowhere to be seen.
not only that, Nixie Knox had been replaced by an x-ray and a xylophone.
Tons - first go back through comments and read people's current favorite books - I highly recommend George R.R. Martin's Ice and Fire series, Neal Stephenson's Snowcrash and other books, Susan Cooper's Dark Is Rising books, if you like that sort of thing :-)
