Lowell Weicker in 1988, who was more liberal than Lieberman ever was, and this occurred because the Repubes turned against Weicker and supported Lieberman. That's why many states have switched back to paper even if takes longer, to avoid fraud.

Just to clear the record --he got elected as an independent by defeating both the Democratic and the Republican candidate. Democrats only control the Senate because Lieberman votes with them. The Democrats cannot afford to lose him. The problem is the Democrats have nominated an inexperienced, freshman senator who also is the most liberal man in the Senate. If you're going to lable someone a racist, give some proof to back up your claims. The only racist comments I know of have come from Obama, Rev. Wright, and Father Pflager. You do not have the high road here.

I would the suggest that you go to any blog, news website like ABC, Politico or even just stay on here on youtube and check out 90% of the videos and there you will sure to find many comments that are filled with racists venom towards Obama and his family.

I have not heard one reference to Obama's race by any Republican--why the misinformation? Can't you win an election on issues--I guess not when your candidate is the most liberal in the Senate and just out of touch. He has moderated many of his views because he realizes his voting record would doom him in a general election.

then you have the other wing that i refer to as BOINIE AND SHOILEE. now BOINIE AND SHOILEE tend to be middle aged,lower middle class, working class jews.they tend to be of the conservative and orthodox sects of judaism. they are democrats, not as liberal and not reformed minded. they are STRONG supporters of israel. and they like their political candidates to do likewise. if they have trouble with obama, it will be a) because of his name. and b) because they MIGHT see him as a black candidate.
