Everything you've said so far -- "radical Islam," the anthrax attacks, 9/11, etc has been FACTUALLY WRONG (AKA not just "difference of opinion" or something. You have your facts wrong). Talking to soldiers is probably the stupidest way you could try to make an informed opinion. Books contain actual information, statistics, policy, etc. Soldiers are just people tasked with carrying out orders, and as I mentioned before about the poll, they're poorly informed themselves.

That is not true whatsoever. The US uses indiscriminate weaponry and soldiers are tasked with seizing control over densely populated civilian areas, there is no way that you kill hundreds of thousands of civilians on accident or because of the ambiguity caused by insurgents.
To the extent that the wars are over oil, it's about control of oil, not access to oil, therefore Saudi Arabia is irrelevant. It's also over regional hegemony in the Middle East.

We did not "set up a good government in Iraq," we set up a puppet regime that we've consistently ignored anyway. Also, the Afghan war has little to do with stopping Al-Qaeda. This is less known so I dont fault you as much, but alQaeda is an international splinter-cell terrorist organization -- it planned its attacks on American soil after the attackers were radicalized in Europe. The connections between the Taliban and al-Qaeda are tenuous and largely post-invasion.

Osama Bin Laden listed out three main reasons for why it was okay to kill Americans -- US bases in Saudi Arabia, support for Israel, and sanctions on Iraq that killed 2 million people.
